9 years ago …. One of the most thrilling Lion wins of all time. Beating arch rival at home for a team national title by the smallest of margins when it was in doubt until the final routine was heart stopping for many. It was a party in St. Charles that night.

Great day in Minnesota as Jen and Taylor were on the competition floor together in quad meet featuring Iowa, LIU, Minnesota and Centenary. I was thrilled to be able to see them both at their team hotels - Lion legacy lives on.

Page name update: While all Lions and gymnastics fans are still disappointed in the loss of our team, it is time to make this page something we can remember the legacy by. Thus, the name change to Remember Lindenwood Gymnastics. I would rather Lions gymnasts coaches and fans share updates on their lives and the amazing times we had on this page vs. the bitterness of how it ended. So, I start the change with where our journey started 11 years ago today. Starting in 2013, we made the journey back and forth from Gilbert, AZ to St. Charles until 2018. It often coincided on August 21st, our wedding anniversary. So here is the start of a wonderful journey where became part of Team 2. One of the most vivid memories I had of this trip was meeting in person for the first time. I was sitting outside our hotel enjoying a beverage after a long day of driving and moving. It’s probably 9pm and the Floyd family pulls up. Dean must have sensed something and shortly after shaking hands asks “how many Walmart trips did it take before you cracked?” We laughed hysterically as I had melted down after 4. It was the start of a wonderful friendship still live to this day with .hackworth, and Dean and so many others. I challenge other Lion gymnasts, parents and fans to share the same and keep the legacy alive and we use this page to remember the good times.

Good morning Lindenwood Fans - we need your help! First of all….How about them Lions! We are so proud of Team XII, winning it all despite all of the adversity the team faced this year. Congrats to Catelyn, Sam, Sienna and all of the Lion Gymnasts for winning it all on Saturday night.

Sadly, the reality of the program being cut is hitting home, including all funding. There is no more funding to the Lions gymnastics program, including a year-end banquet. I am asking for your help in helping ensure that the team and coaches can celebrate their amazing accomplishments by contributing to covering the costs of their banquet scheduled for April 21.

Michelle Griswold, the amazing Mom of our some-day Hall of Fame Lion and Team XII gymnast, Gayla Griswold, is managing an account to cover $3,500 in expenses. Please send Venmo to: Michelle-Griswold-3. All amounts are appreciated.

While the program may have been cut, the endless memories and friendships will last a lifetime. Congrats Team XII - well done!
