Today's speaker was Bryce Kennedy, Disaster Response Coordinator for Southwestern Texas Synod. Their mission is "To build a robust program equipping our congregations to protect their own communities, while serving as a beacon of help and refuge for others." Kennedy, shown along with Seguin Sunrise Lions Vice President Marvel Maddox and President Omar Maldonado, is heading to Kerrville on Friday, where last year's devastating floods still affect the community, with a large trailer full of supplies and tools.
