Meet "Koda" This boy is a courtesy post thru our rescue. He is well loved and cared for but is not compatible with his family's very young children (as many border collies aren't).
He loves his people and does well with other dogs. He is 5 yrs old, housebroken, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative.
If you are interested in Koda, contact Hannah at [email protected]

Here's what we did yesterday... we took into rescue this purebred, six yr old girl, Callie.
Sad sad situation. Her owner is dying and Callie was frightened by all the strange people coming to her home and by watching someone she loves fade away.
She did not want to leave and, today, she is scared and does not know what's happened to her world. The whole event was just traumatizing for her. She briefly showed us her teeth but we told her we weren't impressed 🥹She thought it was her job to protect her owner and now that has been taken from her.
We are taking it very slow and giving her time to trust us. Little by little we'll start her on a road to a better diet, more exercise and some much needed peace in her life.
Watch for updates in the weeks ahead

UPDATE...ACE HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING
Meet "Ace". This boy is a 4-5 yr old, purebred border collie. He weighs 44 lbs and has a thick, fluffy coat. His fosters say he is the calmest border collie they've known. He is a supremely good cuddle dog and, while he does love to play with other dogs, his favorite thing is being by his people.
He gets along happily with other dogs, kids and even cats. He is gentle and sweet. Ace is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, freshly groomed and on heartworm preventive. He is just a wonderful companion dog.

UPDATE..9/16/26 (8:00 p.m) Abby has found her way back to her foster's home and is sitting in the woods just outside the fence. Fosters have left the gate open and put out a small amount of delicious smelly food to entice her inside the fenced in area. We are so hopeful. Please send prayers her way.

Need help! Abby (posted below) has gotten away from her foster. She escaped yesterday and is on the run. Fosters have been searching non stop. She was last seen near Grants Mill Road off Highway I-459 in Irondale AL..
She is so scared and, by now, very hungry.
Does anyone have any trapping experience or can offer any help to catch her?
Please let us know. We are desperate.

UPDATE! WE HAVE FOUND A FOSTER AND THIS SWEET GIRL IS SAFE
Emergency plea... This pretty girl is 18 mth old "Abby". She is a sweet, playful border collie mix girl very scared in an Alabama shelter. Abby is heartworm positive and the shelter euthanizes heartworm positive dogs.
So... were are taking a long shot to see if someone will foster her through heartworm treatment.... about 3-4 mths. The rescue will cover all charges.
She loves other dogs, loves people and desperately needs help. She only has until the end of the day today (Sept 8)
Email us at [email protected] if you can help.
