On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the Sussex County Alumnae Chapter hosted a Health & Wellness Panel in collaboration with Lewes Men of Achievement, Black Nurses Rock, and AmeriHealth Caritas at the Georgetown Library.

Residents from across Sussex County engaged in honest, much-needed dialogue with physicians and medical professionals representing a wide range of specialties, including Infectious Disease, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Mental Health, and more. Through meaningful conversation and shared learning, attendees gained valuable information and resources to support a healthier Sussex County.

This powerful gathering reflected what is possible when service organizations, healthcare professionals, and community partners come together in the spirit of education, advocacy, and collective care.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event impactful. Special gratitude to the medical professionals who answered the call and graciously donated their time, expertise, and service in support of this important initiative. ❤️🤍 Community Engagement in Action! 🤍❤️

On March 28, 2026, the Sussex County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. participated in MADF’s Ballers Classic at Sussex Central High School.

Our Program Planning & Development Committee shared information on our 2026 Regional Day of Service, while raising awareness about the importance of diversity in clinical trials.

We also provided breast cancer screening resources and distributed first aid kits to attendees.

From March 20–24, 2026, the **Sussex County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.** proudly participated in the sorority’s **37th Annual Delta Days in the Nation’s Capital**.

Representing our chapter were Social Action Co-Chairs, Sorors **Venessa Deloach** and **Mickeya Linzie**, who joined fellow Deltas from across the country to engage in critical conversations and advocacy on issues impacting our communities.

We are especially proud that **all four Delaware Delta Alumnae Chapters** were present—demonstrating the power of unity and collective impact.

This year’s theme, **“One Delta. One Mission. One Strategy.”**, reflects our unwavering commitment to sisterhood, service, and social action.

On Friday, March 27, 2026, the **Sussex County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.** proudly participated in Pathways to Success’ *Girls Summit* at the Seaford Boys & Girls Club.

Our sorors connected with over 75 young ladies, sharing valuable information about our **GEMS (Growing & Empowering Myself Successfully) program** and available **scholarship opportunities**—planting seeds of empowerment, leadership, and academic success.

Representing the chapter were Sorors **Sabrina Neal, Tarraye Sturgis, Kim Singleton, and Tina Boyd**, who engaged attendees with meaningful conversation, mentorship, and encouragement. ❤️🤍

We are honored to support initiatives that inspire the next generation of strong, confident young women.
