Soberfest planning has begun - great day for families and fellowship

SAVE THE DATE: Our Sussex County Chapter, supported by Delaware Goes Purple and DSAMH, will host Soberfest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Hudson Fields in Milton. The free-admission festival blends together live music, games, food, vendors and behavioral health into a day of celebrating everyone in recovery, their families and friends. Watch for more details about this year's festival, including how to volunteer.

The atTAcK addiction Scholarship Program is about supporting the next generation of people who will fight against substance use disorder. Applications are now being accepted for atTAcK addiction's 2026 Scholarship Program. See details on the image for eligibility requirements.

College students living in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Maryland who are in recovery and pursuing a behavioral science degree are asked to write an essay (up to 500 words) explaining how they have had an impact or will have an impact in the fight against substance use disorder. Essays must be submitted no later than Aug. 21 and can be emailed to Dawn Hess-Fischer at [email protected].

Five winners will receive $1,000 scholarships each, and will be honored at atTAcK addiction's annual gala in October.

We also know for too many Delawareans, this is a sad or bittersweet day, because you are missing a son or daughter, a brother or sister, or your father or mother.
