Day 4- Final Night!
Cabin Olympics were fun! The boys enjoyed the great weather,& there was definitely some tough competition! Olympics ended with some pool events and swimming!

Then, some field time before skits, stories,& final campfire tonight! 🪵🔥👻

It has been a pleasure ending our 2026 season with these boys. Thanks for sharing them with us for the week! Be easy on them this weekend, we are sure they are exhausted! 🥱🤣

Day 3- The boys had a blast today with all of their activities, and a few “Gray Squirrels” 😆. These boys have lots of energy! Thank you to our special guests from the Millville Volunteer Company, who stopped by for a demonstration and to help them cool off; always a fun time! 🚒💦 The Wednesday basketball tournament was also a hit! Tomorrow is Cabin Olympics, along with Thursday Campfire! 🪵🔥 , weekly favorites!

Week 6-Day 1- We are off and running on our last week of the Summer of 2026.
We had some rain today but it has not slowed them down.
We were visited by DSP Aviation today and had the chance to ask a lot of questions.
We were then treated to ice cream by our friends at the Southern Delaware Street Rod Association. A sincere “thank you” for your continuous support of Camp Barnes.
Tomorrow is a full day of activities.

Parents, it’s been a great week with your camper.
They competed in cabin Olympics today and we had some special guests.

Lt. Colonel Lloyd, Major Ballinger, and Major Lloyd stopped by today and spoke to the campers and witnessed what great young ladies we have here this week.

They will be coming home tomorrow and I hope they have great stories for you about their week.

We wish them a great rest of Summer.

Day 3- Campers had a great Wednesday. Roxana Fire Dept. stopped by for a demonstration and cooled off the campers.
We then had a chance to meet members from the Delaware National Guard and received a pair of cool sunglasses.

Day 2- We had some rain in the morning but the campers continued with activities. DSP EDU stopped by and the girls had a demonstration on fingerprinting.
In the afternoon DSP K9 stopped by and talked to the campers about their unit and the dogs.
It was then back to activities for the remainder of the afternoon.
Tomorrow they will continue with outdoor activities and hopefully get some pool time in with better weather.
Thursday will be there big day with cabin Olympics and final campfire.

The 2026 Camp Barnes Stock Car Race is scheduled for Friday, July 31st at the Georgetown Speedway!
Join us for a great night of racing! 100% of the proceeds go directly to the operation of Camp Barnes.

The below items will be on hand the night of the race to be auctioned off along with a lot of other exciting items. Stop by to see us and pickup something to support a great cause!

Parents- Great first day for the campers. Great weather and the campers are doing well.
They just finished a demonstration from DSP Aviation and will go to the first campfire.

Tomorrow will be a full day of activities followed by a demonstration from DSP K9.
