SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED A SPACE WITH WOMEN WHO GET IT.

Our Women Veterans Group is about more than programming. It’s a space for women who served to connect, have real conversations, build community and focus on the woman beyond the uniform.

Join us this October for another Women Veterans Group Session with Dr. Z.

Come as you are. Connect with other women veterans. And make a little room to pour back into you.

🕊️ The Low Country Veterans Group extends our heartfelt condolences to the Singletary family as they mourn the passing of their beloved father, Mr. Leon Singletary.

Our hearts are especially with LCVG Board Member and fellow veteran Teon Singletary and his family during this season of loss.

In remembering his father, Teon shared a beautiful reflection on a man whose life was filled with laughter, love, sacrifice, wisdom and lessons that will continue through the generations he leaves behind:

“A father’s love doesn’t end with goodbye. It becomes a legacy.”

We honor the life and legacy of Mr. Singletary and pray that God surrounds his family with peace, comfort and strength in the days ahead.

Please join the LCVG family in keeping the Singletary family lifted in prayer.

Low Country Veterans Group Commander Franklin Rutledge recently had the honor of meeting Brigadier General Charles “Charlie” Duke Jr., U.S. Air Force (Ret.)—Apollo 16 astronaut and one of only 12 people in history to walk on the Moon.

In April 1972, Duke served as Lunar Module Pilot aboard Apollo 16, spending more than 20 hours exploring the Moon's surface alongside Commander John Young. He became the 10th and youngest person ever to walk on the Moon.

From serving our country in uniform to helping carry the American mission all the way to the Moon, General Duke's remarkable life of service is one we are honored to recognize.

🇺🇸 General Duke, thank you for your service, your courage, and your place in American history. It was truly an honor.

With the closest VA medical centers located in Myrtle Beach and Charleston, access to care can be a challenge for some veterans in Georgetown County.

🇺🇸 We were proud to welcome the VA Mobile Medical Unit to LCVG headquarters, where local veterans received FREE flu shots, medication refills and medical check-ups right here in Georgetown.

Through our continued partnership with the VA, LCVG is helping bridge that gap by bringing essential services directly to our local veterans.

This is what the mission looks like: more access, more resources and better support for those who served.

25 YEARS LATER, WE REMEMBER. 🇺🇸

The attacks of September 11, 2001 changed our nation and the lives of an entire generation of service members.

For LCVG, this anniversary is personal. Many of our members were deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan during the Global War on Terror that followed.

Today, we remember those we lost, honor the first responders, and recognize all who answered the call to serve.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
