What a wonderful way to close out an incredible sorority year! ❤️🐘

On Saturday, the members of the Georgetown Alumnae Chapter gathered for our End of Year Celebration to reflect on our accomplishments, enjoy fellowship, and celebrate the sisterhood that continues to unite us. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year one to remember. Here’s to a summer of rest and an even greater year ahead!

Georgetown Alumnae Chapter is pleased to share that Soror Denise Chatman has achieved a wonderful accomplishment for herself and GAC. On Sunday afternoon she participated in the South Atlantic Regional Delta D.E.A.R. Virtual Tea Party and earned third place in the Tea Set-Up category. The competition featured both Best Tea Set-Up and Best Tea Attire. Please join us in congratulating Soror Denise Chatman.

Georgetown Alumnae Chapter is proud to support the Friends of the Georgetown Library in its efforts to preserve the rich African-American history. The unavailing was simply a spectacular event for our community. We are also thrilled that our members, Marva Riley, Dr. Michelle Greene, Lillie Jean Johnson, Eunice Brown, Alma White and several others played valuable roles in making the “Whispers of My Ancestors Sculpture” a reality in Georgetown, SC.

What an awesome Day 1 of early voting. Georgetown Alumnae Chapter joined the fight and posted and encouraged Day 1 Voting. More than 55,000 votes were cast on the first day and the mighty redistricting effort failed.

Voter Registration! Every Voice Matters in Our Democracy! On Thursday, April 16, 2026, Georgetown Alumnae Chapter held voter registration in each of the four high schools in Georgetown County during the students’ lunch hour and at the Howard Adult Center. Students were educated on the importance of voting. Every vote counts. We’re making a difference.
