Welcome to worship at Faith Baptist Church! We're glad you are here. Bob Fox is our guest preacher today!

We are continuing our worship series on the five traits of Thriving Congregations as defined by our denominational partner, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. This week we're looking at what enables adaptation, Faithful Agility. Grounded in their identity, they remain open to change, innovation, and new possibilities, trusting in the resurrecting power of God to bring life out of uncertainty.

Today, let's think about this question: How do we stay rooted while remaining open to where God is leading?

We are continuing our worship series on the five traits of Thriving Congregations as defined by our denominational partner, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. This week we're looking at what sustains churches, Holy Tenacity. In the face of challenge or decline, they persist, not through sheer willpower, but through a deep, growing faith that anchors them in God’s ongoing work.

Today, let's think about this question: What enables us to remain faithful when the road becomes difficult?

Welcome to worship at Faith Baptist Church! We're glad you are here.

We are continuing our worship series on the five traits of Thriving Congregations as defined by our denominational partner, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. This week we're looking at what expands impact, Dynamic Collaboration. Rather than operating in isolation, these congregations cultivate partnerships, within the church and beyond, to participate in God’s work more fully and creatively.

Today, let's think about this question: How do we accomplish more together than we ever could alone?

Welcome to worship at Faith Baptist Church! We're glad you are here.

We are continuing our worship series on the five traits of Thriving Congregations as defined by our denominational partner, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. This week we're looking at what gives direction, Compelling Clarity. Thriving congregations know who they are, what they are called to do, and why it matters. This clarity fuels alignment, focus, and meaningful engagement in their context.

Today, let's think about this question: Who are we, and what has God uniquely called us to be?

Welcome to worship at Faith Baptist Church! We're glad you are here.

We begin a new worship series this week on the five traits of Thriving Congregations as defined by our denominational partner, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. The first trait we'll examine is the foundation, Rooted Relationships. These communities are deeply connected: to Christ, to one another, and to their neighbors. Trust, vulnerability, and spiritual attentiveness shape their shared life.

Today, let's think about this question: Who helps us become who God created us to be?

Welcome to worship at Faith Baptist Church! We're so glad you are here!

Today we continue our Outside the Box worship series, where we look at the out-of-the-box ways in which God works in the world, learn from outside-the-box people in Scripture, and discover together what it looks like to be a church who lives out our faith outside the box.

🌭 Fall Kick-Off Cookout — THIS Wednesday! 🍔

Join us this Wednesday, September 2 at 5:30 PM as we kick off a new season of Wednesday nights at Faith!

We’ll provide the hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, and desserts — and we’re asking everyone to bring a generous side dish to share (chips, salads, fruit, veggies, etc.) (We had such a great crowd at our spring cookout that we ran out of sides, so bring a little extra and help us make sure there’s plenty for everyone!)

☀️ We know it’s going to be a hot one, so we’ll have both indoor and outdoor seating available. Come enjoy the air conditioning inside, or head to the lawn for playground fun and outdoor games. There’s a spot for everyone!

🎶 Live music from Ruth Bryant and the Eagle Creek Band

🧡 We’re especially excited to welcome some Georgetown College students to join us for the evening. Let’s give them a warm Faith welcome and show them what our family of Faith does best: making room at the table for everyone.

Bring a side, bring a friend, and come hungry. We can’t wait to see you Wednesday! 🍽️

Come lend a hand at our Church Work Day tomorrow! 🧹🔨🌿

Join us Saturday, August 29, anytime between 8:00 AM and noon. We’ll have projects for all ability levels throughout the church building and outside—plus coffee, juice, and doughnuts to keep us going! ☕🍩

Together, we’ll freshen up our space as an act of hospitality and welcome—and maybe have a little fun along the way. We’d love to see you!

We’ve already received around 40 Thriving Congregations Assessments—thank you to everyone who has shared your voice! 🙌

We’d love to hear from even more of our Faith family, with a goal of 75–100 responses. The more people who participate, the clearer picture we’ll have of where Faith is thriving, where we can grow, and how we can prepare well for our next chapter together.

The assessment takes about 20 minutes and is open through September 1 (which believe it or not is only a week away). You can find the link and all the details in your latest Faith File.

Haven’t taken yours yet? Now is the time to add your voice! 💙
