📣 A message from the Geneseo Groveland Emergency Food Pantry:

Changes to federal SNAP (food stamp) benefits taking effect this year mean that many of our neighbors — including older adults, parents of teenagers, veterans, and others — may lose some or all of their food assistance as soon as June 2026.

We expect the need in our community to grow significantly, and we want to be ready.

Here's how you can help:
✅ Donate non-perishable food items
✅ Make a monetary donation
✅ Volunteer your time

The Geneseo Groveland Emergency Food Pantry serves families throughout the Geneseo Central School District. Every contribution — big or small — makes a real difference for our neighbors.

📦 Drop off donations at the Pantry - located inside Central Presbyterian Church (31 Center Street, Geneseo). We are open Tuesdays and Thursdays 10-2 and Wednesdays 4-6:30.

Arlene K. Johnston, 93, of Geneseo, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Highland Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husbands, Douglas J. Welch and Harry Johnston;

Many thanks to the Central Presbyterian Church, Geneseo, NY Youth Group for another successful Souper Bowl of Caring. Their yummy subs helped raise $533 for the Food Pantry this year.
