Day 3 and 4 are complete!

Day 3 the girls focused on hitting and blocking! For hitting, they focused on their transition and approach, as well as learned how to close their hips and shoulders, letting the ball come into their hitting window, reaching high, and snapping their wrist while following through with their swing. For blocking, the girls learned how to their footwork, having big hands at the net, and pressing over.

Day 4 the girls focused a little more on hitting, such as overpasses and downballs, and passing a ball after they get a block touch. Also, the girls learned how to dive and roll, rotational defense, and got to scrimmage a little bit.

We saw improvements in their skills each day and are excited to see the girls continue to grow in the sport of volleyball!

We hope to see everyone at our pre-tryout clinic and tryouts, as well as future camps!

Day 1 and 2 have be completed! We have already seen improved in these athletes!

On day 1, the girls were working on passing and serving by focusing on freezing their platform, creating space between their platform and body, ball control, as well as their mechanics for serving overhand and underhand.

On day 2, the girls reviewed passing and serving and were introduced a new skill, which was setting. The girls focused on their footwork, hand placement and finish, as well as squaring up and using legs and arms to push the ball.

We will be back in the gym tonight for day 3, which is hitting and blocking.

New this year, we are doing summer tryouts instead of fall, and we will be holding a two-day pre-clinic tryout in order for your player(s) to get touches on the ball before tryouts. Please make sure to email us to get more information on what is required for the pre-tryout clinic and tryouts.
