$15 a month says, “I believe in this mission, and I want to be part of it.”

I’m asking you to consider becoming a $15 monthly supporter of The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen through Zeffy. For many of us, that’s a small commitment—but together, those commitments help us serve our neighbors and build toward our dream of a pay-what-you-can restaurant in Garland.

And if $15 a month would put you out, please come have a meal on us. That’s exactly why we’re doing this.

Beginning November 1st, every first Sunday, The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen will provide a free, restaurant-style lunch at the Salvation Army in Garland for neighbors in a season of struggle who cannot afford the meals they need.

You’ll be welcomed, seated, and given a menu to choose from. Volunteers will take your order and serve your meal with love, dignity, and respect. You will not be asked to pay at the end.

Everyone deserves to feel cared for and enjoy a meal without worrying about how they’ll afford it.

💡 Did you know, Garland?

About 13% of the people living in our city—roughly 1 in every 8 neighbors—live below the poverty line.

Across the greater DFW area, approximately 1 in 6 people experiences food insecurity, including 1 in 4 children.

These aren’t just numbers.

They represent working parents, senior adults, veterans, children, and families who may be doing everything they can—but after paying the rent, utilities, transportation, medication, and childcare, there simply isn’t enough left for groceries.

And hunger does not always look the way we expect it to. It may look like skipping breakfast so the children can eat. Buying the cheapest food instead of the healthiest. Stretching one meal into two. Or quietly declining an invitation because there is no money to eat.

This is one more reason Garland needs a pay-what-you-can community restaurant.

A place where every person can sit at a table, choose from a menu, enjoy a delicious meal, and be treated with the same warmth and hospitality as everyone else—whether they can pay the full amount, contribute a little, volunteer their time, or simply receive a meal when they need one.

The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen is not being created to serve “those people.”

It is being created to serve our people—our neighbors, our families, and our community.

Because Garland deserves a table where everyone belongs. 💜
