IT TAKES TWO, INC A charity committed to supporting youth through scholarships, life skills, and educational programs.

In bringing the mission to fruition and the vision to reality, our objectives are:
• To mentor youth in our community;
• To sponsor youth programs;
• To provide guidance through mentoring;
• To develop strong educational and social skills in children 8 to 18;
• To award scholarships;
• To improve college access opportunities for middle and high school students;
• To build self-esteem and enhance opportunities for young people;
• To develop leaders of tomorrow

We met Chris Gibbon on LinkedIn about a year ago when he responded to our call for shadow day opportunities for our Positioned for Greatness Youth Program members. He responded and we quickly moved out on the coordinating an event for P4GYP member Sydney to work just a few weeks later last summer.

This led to a few more engagements:

Guest speaker at last year's Youth & Community Awards Brunch

Facilitating our vision board session for the 2026 cohort where students declared a now goal and a future goal, setting a great tone for the program

He extended another summer content creation opportunity this year to Sydney and this time working with different equipment

Now, we honor him. We're grateful for the partnership with CAG Multimedia Productions LLC. as our Career Exploration Partner by helping our young people experience a day in their desired career to get a real glimpse of their future! Thank you!

For the past three years, we’ve been blessed to call New Hope Academy & Preschool home for our in-person programming. 💙💛

Their willingness to open their doors and provide us with a space to pour into our young people has meant more than we can put into words. A good portion of our students have come to IT TAKES TWO, INC through this partnership, and we are grateful for the trust that has been placed in us to serve them.

This is what community partnership looks like: opening doors, creating opportunities, and investing in young people TWOgether.

📢 Community Partner Spotlight

For the past nine years, Minister Jesse Moore and the team at You Did It for Me Ministries Inc have been showing what it truly means to serve a community.

Rain, snow, freezing temperatures, and even 100+ degree days haven’t stopped them from showing up twice a month to make sure DC residents have access to food, encouragement, prayer, and a welcoming space to simply feel cared for. As Minister Jesse says, “Come eat!”

We've had the privilege of serving alongside Minister Jesse and his team for the past seven years, creating meaningful opportunities for our Positioned for Greatness Youth Program members.

We are grateful for a partnership that has helped our youth see the power of showing up, giving back, and serving others with compassion.

We look forward to honoring you tomorrow at our Youth & Community Awards Brunch as our Service Partner Award recipient!
