🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we ride with grateful hearts.
Today, we pause to remember the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and the freedoms we hold dear. Their bravery will never be forgotten.
As a cycling community, our mission carries special meaning. We ride not only in remembrance, but in support of the veterans who came home carrying the lasting impact of service. Every mile we pedal and every dollar raised is our way of saying: you are not forgotten, and your sacrifice matters.
To our supporters, riders, donors, and veterans—thank you for helping us turn remembrance into action and honor into healing.
“Never was so much owed by so many to so few.” — Winston Churchill
Today, we remember. Today, we ride. ❤️🤍💙🚴

Unofficial Ride Allegheny training ride. When the weather apps predict rain, you cancel the training ride, but still want to squeeze in a ride. This group squeezed in a ride and rain never appeared. Lucky riders.

Hey Ride Allegheny crew—
Hard to believe, but RA 2026 will be here before we know it. If you’ve ridden it before, you know it’s one of those events where having your setup truly dialed—fit, gearing, tires, and overall comfort—can make the entire experience. Long days, mixed terrain, and changing conditions reward a bike that’s built specifically for you, not just “good enough.”

In addition to the frame raffle that Mike/Cobalt Bikes has supported for the past 7 years, Cobalt Bikes is also offering 20% off all frames and complete bikes for the Ride Allegheny community.

Every bike Cobalt builds is fully custom—fit, components, gearing, and setup tailored to how and where you ride. The goal is simple: to put you on a bike that’s truly designed for you, so everything—from position to performance—feels right from the first mile to the last.

To make sure everyone has time to build, ride, and dial things in before the event, Cobalt Bikes is capping this at 8 build slots for RA riders.

A small deposit locks your spot and the 20% discount
Orders will close June 15 (or when slots are filled)
Optional custom paint upgrades available for anyone who wants something unique for the event
If you’ve been thinking about a new gravel or all-road setup—or upgrading what you’re currently riding—this is a great window to get it done right and have plenty of miles on it before RA.

Feel free to reach out directly to Mike at Cobalt Bikes to talk through options or get started.

forward to seeing everyone out there this fall.

Fantastic training ride on the canal! We spotted Rich and Graham heading the other direction, then Karen and Mike joined us along the way. Routes ranged from Riley’s Lock to Edward’s Ferry and back, to longer stretches out to White’s Ferry, with a few riders tackling the full Kentlands loop. Strong effort by everyone!
