Incredibly proud of the GC Swim & Dive team for coming together today to prepare 200 breakfasts for the Rockville’s Men’s Shelter. Thanks to these athletes for donating food and time during the busy holiday season to help their community. 💙💛

We love when events come full circle. Remember all the gifts you purchased? Today some of the families came to pick them up. We know there are a lot of gift drives, but we love ours because the gifts are personalized to a specific child. Thank you to the Community Hope Center for creating such a warm and festive environment. It’s so easy to see from the smiles and hugs the bonds that are nurtured here. Thank you for helping us play a small part in spreading joy this season. ❤️💚🎄🎁🙏

Volunteering during the holiday hustle and bustle is a great way to center ourselves. Thanks to the current and former Kentlands Community Foundation board members for helping sort food today. Even bigger thanks to Nourish Now for hosting us and for all they do all day every day.

Thanks to the families who came out Sunday to wrap gifts for 62 kids in Gaithersburg! We loved the fun and festive atmosphere of spreading joy together. This event always brings out a diverse community of parents, students, neighbors, and friends. And we loved every minute!

Thank you to Marie Antonia for telling us a little bit about Catholic Charities and the families they serve. We are incredibly humbled and grateful to our community who so generously purchased gifts for this event. This year many of you gave multiple gifts, and there were quite a few donators whom we do not know. To quote Marie Antonia, “thank you for doing something for someone else.”

In this week before the Thanksgiving holiday, we are counting our blessings and giving thanks for you. Our hearts are full. ❤️

Our popular holiday giving program is back! Help us spread joy this season by assisting local families in need here in Gaithersburg. Purchase gifts off our Amazon list (items ship directly to us) and come help us wrap them together on Sun, Nov 23rd from 2-3:30pm at the Kentlands Clubhouse. We’ll also make personalized gift tags and a small craft to attach to the presents. It’s fun, festive, and for helping our neighbors!

🎨Come draw with us for the Kentlands/Lakelands Kids Fun Run tshirt design contest!

🏃‍♂️Winning design will go on the T-shirt for the Kentlands/Lakelands Kids Fun Run (takes place Sat, Aug 30)

🏆Winning artist will receive a $35 gift card and a shirt with their design

Hi Everyone- looking for an IN PERSON service event for you and your kids/teens?

We have been visiting Sunrise Senior Center in Montgomery Village since 2015: we sit with the residents for an hour and do a small craft, puzzles, and have face to face conversations.

It’s one of our favorite events because of the inter-generational connection- something harder to find these days.

This event is held at Sunrise Senior Center, 19310 Club House Road, Montgomery Village, MD 20886. We’ll meet in the lobby area at 1:45pm and meet with the residents from 2pm to 3pm.
