Rebuilding Together Montgomery County - Beth Ami & Shaare Torah

Rebuilding Together Montgomery County - Beth Ami & Shaare Torah Two synagogues in Montgomery County jointly sponsor an annual home-rebuilding project for low-income homeowners.

Annual home-rebuilding project jointly sponsored by Temple Beth Ami and Shaare Torah Congregation, under Rebuilding Together of Montgomery County, a non-profit community organization that helps low-income homeowners, especially elderly, disabled, and families with children, by providing urgent repairs and safety or accessibility improvements to their homes. Our synagogues provide volunteers and financial support to create a "Sukkot in Spring" each year for a neighbor in need.

We have just completed a very challenging and dramatic home repair in Silver Spring. All nine housing code violations were corrected and the home is markedly safer and under control. Our thanks to the best group of volunteers( of all skill levels) in Montgomery County who every year add to our stellar reputation of taking on difficult projects. We also thank the staff of Rebuilding Together Montgomery County for their support. As we left yesterday , our homeowner told us that a new chapter of his life was beginning!
