PFLAG works to promote the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ persons, their families, and friends. The group meets on the 2nd Monday of the Month. Our next meeting is scheduled for June 8th at 7 PM. Since the Pride Center is currently between locations, the United Church of Gainesville has kindly offered us a temporary space. Join us at 1624 NW 5th Ave. Meetings are informal with an opportunity to talk, have refreshments and see our resources. Everyone is welcome.

In celebration of Pride Month, The Lynx will donate 10% of sales from our featured LGBTQ+ titles to the library at the Pride Community Center of North Central Florida.

The Pride Library, which relies on donations, has over 1,000 books for LGBTQ people of all ages, plus parents, teachers, and clinicians. The library features both fiction and nonfiction titles and includes many banned books that can’t be found at the public library or school libraries
