Recently, a parent contacted MotoMeds regarding a 5-year-old child with respiratory complaints and a swollen abdomen and lower extremities. Our provider identified severe signs of respiratory distress and referred the child to a local facility. The following morning, he was transported by helicopter for higher level care that is only available in the capital, Port au Prince. At 10 days, the child was still hospitalized but in stable condition. Early access to care can signify the difference between life and death. MotoMeds is proud to be a part of the referral chain.
