Last week we had the honor of hosting these lovely ladies in healthcare, along with 60 more of our “closest friends.” 🤩

Our Women’s Health luncheon was a great success. We learned so much from Savannah Sanders PA at Georgia Heart, Ashley Gibbs NP at Georgia Heart, Rhonda Massey CNM at NGPG Ob-Gyn, and Annie Jones NP at Timeless Aesthetics, and are so grateful for their time and expertise.

Each of them shared so much valuable information with us on heart health and what signs to look out for. We learned about topics Ob-Gyn related and how to care for ourselves, or questions to ask your doctor if you are not sure about what your body is going through. And HORMONES, goodness, that is a whole day of content in itself. I think every woman was curious about this topic and why we feel the way we do not only as we age, but at every stage of life.

This one is always a fan favorite! Thank you to everyone who joined us, we truly enjoyed the afternoon! 💚

Meet Abigail “Abby” Burle, an educator, author, nonprofit founder, wife, and mother whose own unexpected journey has shaped a passion for helping others embrace their stories and know that they belong.

A former middle school teacher, Abby’s life changed dramatically when she became a mother to triplets Maggie, Max, and Miller. Born medically fragile, her children’s early years meant navigating extended hospital stays and three different disabilities, two of which are lifelong for her boys. Through those experiences, Abby became an even stronger advocate for children and families, grounded in her belief that every child deserves a seat in the classroom.

That same journey eventually led to the creation of Love Your Story. What began organically—opening doors, meeting needs, providing housing, and gathering people in community—officially became a nonprofit in 2022. At its heart is a lesson Abby has learned in her own life: sometimes loving your story means learning to love the parts you never would have chosen.

Abby’s approach to leadership has evolved along the way. Once believing leadership meant being the loudest voice in the room, she now sees something much more powerful: listening, surrounding yourself with people who speak truth, and using your voice to amplify the needs and stories of others. For Abby, the mission has never been about “me.” It’s about “we.”

That spirit is reflected in the message she hopes the next generation of women will carry with them:
You belong exactly as you are. Learn to truly belong to yourself—and from that place, you will thrive.

Meet Belinda Dickey, a lifelong Gainesville resident whose heart for service has touched generations throughout our community.

After a 25-year career with the Georgia Department of Labor, Belinda has continued to devote herself to helping others. As President of Sunshine Seniors, she leads an organization that has served as a mobile food bank for more than a decade. Today, Sunshine Seniors provides food to approximately 600 families each week—a remarkable testament to Belinda’s belief in the power of community, generosity, and simply putting your hands to the work.

Her commitment to service extends throughout Gainesville and Hall County through numerous boards, committees, community cleanups, and volunteer efforts. Inspired by the example of her mother and grandmother, Belinda believes having a voice means more than having a seat at the table—it means speaking up, offering solutions, and standing up for others.

Her message to the next generation of women is simple: Get involved. Lend a helping hand. Know that you matter and have so much to offer.

Belinda’s life reflects the words she shares so beautifully: “I know I was born to serve.”

Meet Erica Glenn, an educator, advocate, mentor, and community leader whose career has centered on creating opportunities for children, families, and underserved communities.

A graduate of Johnson High School and Grambling State University, Erica began her community work through AmeriCorps VISTA before helping build the Gainesville-Hall County School System’s Homeless Education Program. She later joined the Georgia Department of Education, supporting school systems and federal education programs across the state. Today, she continues serving others through her work with Georgia Heart.

Throughout her career, Erica has witnessed firsthand the extraordinary strength and resilience of women. She also credits the women in her own family with helping make her journey possible—supporting her as a young mother so she could continue her education and pursue her goals.
For Erica, having a voice means using it not only for yourself, but also for those who may not have the opportunity to be heard. She believes meaningful change requires participation, advocacy, and a willingness to show up.

Her message to the next generation of women?
“Stay focused on the bigger picture.”

Trust your abilities, work hard, and never allow someone else’s opinion to define what is possible for your life.

Meet Whitney McDowell-Robinson, an educator, higher education leader, mentor, and community advocate committed to helping others recognize their own potential.

Whitney serves as Vice President for Student Development and Engagement at Brenau University and has spent approximately 15 years in education, beginning her career as a fourth-grade teacher before moving into higher education leadership.

Her commitment to service reaches well beyond campus. Whitney is actively involved in the Junior League, serves as Director of Development for the Diaper Bank of North Georgia, and was recently elected President of the Hall County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Early in her career, a female leader saw potential in Whitney and gave her an opportunity that changed the trajectory of her career. That experience taught her the lasting impact women can have when they intentionally recognize, encourage, and develop other women—a philosophy she now carries into her own leadership.

Whitney believes having a voice means showing up authentically, advocating for yourself, setting healthy boundaries, and remaining true to your values.

Her message to the next generation says it all:
“Bet on yourself.”

Trust your abilities. Protect your integrity. Believe in who you are—and as you grow, help prepare the next woman to lead.

Meet Holly Stewart, a leader, lifelong learner, advocate, and mother whose work is helping shine a light on the experiences of women balancing careers, families, and community life.

Originally from Western North Carolina, Holly moved to Gainesville in 2011. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Appalachian State University and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Brenau University. She works in Medical Education at Northeast Georgia Health System and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Adult Education and Leadership at the University of Georgia.

Holly’s own experience returning to work after becoming a mother helped shape her passion for supporting women in the workplace. Today, her doctoral research explores the many challenges women encounter as they navigate career and family—and recognizes that every woman’s experience is uniquely shaped by her own circumstances.

As a mother of two daughters, Holly has also found an even stronger voice as an advocate, champion, and role model for the next generation.

Her advice to young women is powerful in its simplicity:
“Don’t make yourself small.”

Take the time to discover who you are, what you believe, and what you want to do with your one precious life.

Meet Alaina Hyatt, a police officer, community servant, and emerging leader who is helping pave the way for women in law enforcement.

Growing up participating in sports, marching band, and competitive dance taught Alaina the value of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—qualities that eventually led her to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice and a career serving her community as a police officer.

Entering a traditionally male-dominated profession taught Alaina that confidence isn’t something you’re simply born with—it is built through preparation, hard work, and perseverance. Along the way, she also discovered how powerful it can be when women choose to encourage and support one another.

For Alaina, having a voice isn’t about being the loudest person in the room. It means speaking with integrity, advocating for yourself and others, and having the courage to speak when it matters.

Her message to the next generation of women is one worth remembering:
“Don’t let fear convince you that you don’t belong.”

Your voice, perspective, and goals matter. Work hard, learn from your mistakes, support the women around you, and help create opportunities for others to succeed alongside you.
