Did you see our gorgeous balloon art courtesy of at our Open House last week? We were blown away that she included our logo, colors, and everything! SO COOL!🙀🙀

We wanted to shout out her small business, because it really made our first-ever Open House even more special! She also donated a large amount of the balloon decor to show her support of our mission!!!🎈🎈🎈🐈

It was a trek to put on this entire event, and we are ever-so grateful to all of the small businesses, Gainesville locals, and community members who came together to make it all paw-sible. 💜

Thank you so very much!🙏

Love or Hate Community Cats... SOMETHING has to be done about the overpopulation. TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) is the most humane way to solve this human-caused problem, and working together is the best way to do it!

❤️ LOVE community cats or hate them?

JUST FIX THEM! 😸✂️

Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) is the solution!

❤️ LOVE community cats?
You can help the cats in your neighborhood by TNVRing them!

Spaying a female cat means she won't go into heat, become pregnant, or give birth to more kittens outdoors. Spayed females also won't attract males looking to mate.

Neutering male cats makes life easier, too. No more fighting over females or spraying to mark territory. Fewer fights can also mean fewer opportunities for diseases like FIV to spread.

🚫 HATE community cats?
Removing cats from a neighborhood isn't an effective long-term solution.

When cats are removed, other cats can move into the available territory a phenomenon known as the “vacuum effect.” The cycle of reproduction simply starts again.

But when cats are TNVR'd and returned, they are no longer reproducing. Over time, this can mean fewer kittens, less fighting, less spraying, and fewer cats overall. 👍

Whether you love them or wish they weren't there, the answer is the same: FIX THEM! ❤️

Thank you, Stray Cat Project, for these words and for helping spread the message about TNR!

We are so grateful to The Plant Shoppe for donating some gorgeous floral arrangements for our Open House this past Friday! 😻💐

It was such a thoughtful and meaningful gift, and we are so happy to have the support of local Gainesville businesses! 💟

The arrangements really elevated our decor, purr-fectly matched our colors and vibe, and went home with a few of our staff and volunteers!🥰

(These photos were taken this morning, and the florals still look fabulous!)

Despite the less than favorable weather, over 200 people showed up to see our spay/neuter clinic, donate, meet our staff and volunteers, tour our Catio, win amazing gift baskets and silent auction items, eat delicious food, and SO MUCH MORE!! 🥳🥳

We can't thank you enough for all of your support. Over the last few years, we have been given the opportunity to grow so much: expanding our programs, recruiting more staff and volunteers, getting a new building, and doing our spay/neuter clinics 3-4 times a week rather than our previous once-monthly clinics. 😻

We are so honored to call Gainesville home, and to get to serve both our human and cat community each and every week. Thank you for making this all paw-sible. 💕🐾

We want to shout-out Blackadder Brewing and Dorn's West for supplying some amazing beverages, Moondog for supplying the tunes, Radha's Kitchen and El Manero for making some delicious eats, everyone for donating AMAZING prizes for our raffle, our staff and volunteers for making this event possible, and especially our Development Director Leah for organizing this entire event!❤️🙏☺️

This was truly an event for the Operation Catnip history books! 😻
