Trail Life NY 1613

God gave us a beautiful sunset and time together to continue to work on our skills.

After our opening we played a little blob tag with our sister troop American Heritage Girls NY 0408

Navigators and adventurers worked on their camping badge and learning on to be prepared in the woods.

The woodlands polished up their ropes and knots skills and challenged their older Trailmen brothers to a little game of tug of war.

It was great having everyone back together for another great year.

We got right into it this year and can’t wait for more adventures ahead!

Join the adventure with us!

🙏 Praying Over Our Schools, Our Students, and Our Community! 🙏

Today, members of Palermo Community Church, Trail Life USA, and American Heritage Girls gathered at schools throughout the Mexico Central School District for See You at the Pole, joining together in prayer for our schools and everyone who is part of them.

Our young people, parents, and leaders took time to lift up our students, teachers, administrators, school bus drivers, support staff, and families. We prayed for God’s protection, wisdom, guidance, and blessings throughout the school year.

What a blessing to see our young people standing together in faith, praying not only for themselves but also for their classmates, teachers, and the entire school community! ❤️

But our prayers shouldn’t stop today!

We invite you and your family to join us in praying for our schools throughout the entire year. Whether you’re gathered around the dinner table, driving past a school, or beginning your day, take a moment to lift up the students and dedicated individuals who serve our school community.

We encourage you to use the prayers our young people shared today as a guide for your own family prayer time.

📖 Pray with us throughout the year:

Thank you to everyone who participated today and to all those who faithfully serve our children and families. May God continue to watch over our schools, strengthen our educators, guide our students, and bless the entire Mexico Central School District.

Our schools need our prayers not just today, but every day! 🙏

🇺🇸 Thank You for Remembering With Us 🇺🇸

We want to sincerely thank everyone who came out and participated in our 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

Today was about more than climbing stairs. It was about remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honoring the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away, and making sure their courage and sacrifice are never forgotten.

A special thank you to the agencies and organizations that helped support this meaningful event:

🚒 New Haven Volunteer Fire Department
🚒 Volney Volunteer Fire Department
🚑 McFee Ambulance
🚓 Oswego County Sheriff’s Office
🏫 Mexico Academy and Central School

Your support, participation, and willingness to stand with our community helped make this event possible.

Thank you as well to every Trailman, American Heritage Girl, family member, volunteer, first responder, and community member who climbed, encouraged others, helped behind the scenes, or simply came to remember.

We climbed because they climbed.
We remember because their sacrifice deserves to be remembered.
We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Trail Life Troop NY-1613 would like to personally invite you and the members of your department to join us for our 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Saturday, September 12 at 8:45 AM at Mexico High School.

We will begin the morning with a brief remembrance ceremony honoring those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, especially the first responders who answered the call that morning.

Following the ceremony, we will begin our stair climb at approximately the same time first responders began their climb inside the World Trade Center.

Our challenge is to complete 23 laps of the stadium stairs before the time corresponding with the collapse of the North Tower.

This is not intended to be a race. It is an opportunity for our Trailmen and community to experience a small glimpse of the physical challenge those first responders faced and, more importantly, to make sure the next generation understands their courage, service, and sacrifice.

We would be honored to have members of our local Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, and Emergency Services communities climb alongside our Trailmen. Participants are welcome to climb in duty/workout gear or simply come as they are. Even those who don’t wish to complete the entire challenge are encouraged to join us for the ceremony and climb as much as they would like.

Please feel free to share this invitation with the members of your department and other local first responders.

We climb because we remember. We remember because their sacrifice deserves to be passed on to the next generation.

We hope you’ll join us.
