The Justice Coalition is committed to preventing human trafficking through education, partnership and outreach.

Central Valley Justice Coalition is committed to preventing human trafficking, before it starts, using the tools of education, partnership and outreach. In our 10-year existence [5 as a 501(3)c] we have educated over 27,000 people with vital information that can help them become anti-trafficking advocates! Now, even in the midst of this COVID-19 Pandemic, we remain active using all of the technological tools at our disposal. Whether we are hosting trainings and classes through Zoom, creating online courses accredited through Fresno Pacific University, or engaging with teens/parents/educators online, we do it all because we are convinced that EVERYONE deserves to be free from slavery.

Proud to see our board member, Arien Garcia, presenting with Movimiento Auténtica this morning. Longtime team member Brenda Zavala was there to share information and resources. Grateful for these strong and dedicated women and for the community willing to learn!

Our friends at the Eipk Project have consistently worked to call men to a higher standard, understanding that it is men who drive the economy that fuels human trafficking, men who commit most of the harm, and men who have the collective power to do something different. I hope you will take the time to read this post from Tom Perez following the Cornell 7 (really the Cornell 50+) case coming to light. More than that, I hope men will join the movement of other men committed to listening, learning, and ushering a different world.

Messy hair, no makeup, full of gratitude. Thank you Governor Gavin Newsom for signing this monumental protection for children in California!
Profound thanks to Unchained At Last Fraidy Reiss and all the survivors who refused to quit, who dedicated themselves to making sure other children would be protected in ways there were not. Heroes. 🫶

We’ve been so busy that we haven’t had time to properly share about our time at the PACT Convening in Sacramento last week. We have so much to say about the wonderful time with partners up and down the state who are working to protect kids from exploitation and provide appropriate support for those who have already experienced trafficking. So much good work that does not get enough attention. We are proud to bear witness.

We are also proud to have been recognized with 2 of the 12 Spotlight Awards granted by PACT and Child/Family Policy Inst of CA. Our team works hard in collaboration on behalf of the most vulnerable. It’s encouraging to be recognized for our work and humbling to stand alongside others that we hold in high regard for their contributions.
