The Baton Rouge Boat Club held its June meeting last night at Boondocks. Great turnout! We awarded scholarships to three deserving high school students. We voted in five new members. Michelle Furman provided a safety briefing. Dean Coates gave an important update on Carbon Capture and why we should care. We wrapped up the evening with Shelley Coates winning the 50-50 drawing. Yesterday, the Boat Club had a qualifying run yesterday that advanced five pending members to the voting stage. Short run from Canal Bank to Boondocks for a game of LCR (Left Center Right). Congrats to Simon in winning the pot.

Tall ships have arrived in New Orleans and will be here until Sunday. They are on the river near the Aquarium (French Quarter). You can board all the wooden ships. Several large military ships are also here, but they require advanced sign-ups.
