All of the K9s are getting some fun in the sun before the bad weather threats roll in.

We’ve had a lot going on in the background, and haven’t posted a lot because we’ve been so busy trying to catch up on all that needed doing.

*we are moved into the new building

*the barn pens panels, and rotted boards have been replaced

*new, sturdy outdoor runs are built

*training has been taking place

With live creatures, every so often fixing and maintenance on housing, and safety are needed.

We are not done, we are working. We are available for searches…we have had an extremely rough year financially following our travels but we are hopeful.

Our babies are no longer babies…check out or lineup in the video.

Legacy is just under a year old, and Tala & Gaia are now 7 months old. They are doing wonderfully with training, and are growing up so fast.

Beware of the artic mess…

We are geared up and set for the duration to “staycation in the Dog Cave”. My home will likely loose gas pressure leaving us no heat, so we are taking this opportunity to camp in the cave with the K9s. This will give us a really good run as far as how the temperatures hold up in the and where the thermostat needs to stay set. It will also put us closer to hand walk for potty as needed, etc since we do have a covered area.

Please stay weather alert & safe by not being on the roads in ice. Bring your furry friends inside, and everyone stay warm!

Update: Dr. Susie said that surgery is not needed at this time. Mercy was given steroid injections to try and decease the inflamation in her ear. She will also be started on another round of Cephalexin for a week. Thats a win for today🙂

Well, we made it almost through Mercy’s recovery before a complication hit. Last night, we found another hematoma at the top of her surgical site, and possibly one below. They aren’t as large, but still painful and needing an evaluation.

We are currently headed back to her vet so that she can be seen. If surgery is indeed needed, she will have it today and be sent home either tonight or tomorrow to get her back settled before the freeze hits us. They also mentioned that she did not do well overnight last time without me. She was full of attitude and wasn’t super compliant. Go figure…
