The first Coke bottled in Baton Rouge was in 1906.

This is one of the old straight sided Coca Cola bottle from the early 1900's. It has "BATON ROUGE Coca Cola Bottling Co.Ltd." stamped at the bottom. The seam lines don't extend to thee top of.the bottle. This indicates that the bottle was molded by machine and the top was added on by hand by a glass worker.
The Baton Rouge bottling plant was established in 1906 by Thomas Diagre. This bottle is likely from his plant. This style of bottle was used from circa 1900-1920. So, it is likely over 100 hrs old.

Who else remembers the church fairs at St. Joseph's? This picture is my uncle Alfred Ouber and me in the church hall. Circa 1955. The stage in the background was where the beauty contestants and their escorts were presented.

Pear tree in full bloom at the museum 2016.
The pecan tree that fell a few years back took most of the branches out. The tree now appears to be dying probably caused by w**d killer spraying at the base.
