VFW Post 688 will host a fundraising Gala event on Saturday, February 28, 2026. The Theme of the gala is, "1940's Night at the USO". Private Bruno Phillip Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 688 is a 501 (c) 19 Tax Exempt Organization, and a Non-Profit member of the Boerne Chamber of Commerce. Our Post focus is helping Veterans and their families in need within the community.
The GALA will be held at the CANA Ballroom, 202 W. Kronkosky Street, Boerne, Texas
There will be two performances:
Afternoon Matinee - 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm with "Frank Sings Frank". Frank Cubillo will sing period songs of the 1940s.
Cost: $ 50.00 per person
Group rates are also available. This event is offered for elderly members of our community that do not wish to be out late.
Evening Gala - 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm will feature "Frank Sings Frank" and The Boerne Jazz Band
Free Swing Dance lessons commencing from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
This event is offered for all ages.
Dinner, Dessert and Dancing
Cocktails, beer and wine available for sale
Cost: $ 85.00 per person
Attendees are highly encouraged to come dressed in their best 1940s attire (WWII Military Uniforms, Suits and Dresses) to fully immerse themselves in the evening’s theme, atmosphere, and to make memories! At a minimum, attendees should wear a suit or dress for this event. There is more information and videos on our page
