Hacienda Loba Blanca Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) registered animal rescue located on a ranch in the hills of Fredericksburg, Texas. It was started in 1990 by Michael "Chief Smiling Wolf", who lived there for 32 years rescuing and rehabilitating animals of all types including crows, owls, possums, skunks, snakes, horses, goats, cats, sheep and dogs of various types. When Michael passed in May of 2022, his wife Jackie, daughter Carley and son-in-love Jonny got together to continue his work of caring for animals, including the ones that were left behind at the time of his death. As of July 2022, there are 13 rescue animals in the care of the sanctuary:
6 northern-hybrid dogs - Sasha, Dakota, Polar, Arrow, Ten Bears and Little Bear
1 sheep dog - Mr. Bones
3 horses - Sausabelle, Elegante and Elvis
1 sheep - Lucky
1 goat - Isabella
1 cat - Sphinx
In addition to caring for these 13 animals who live here already, our mission also includes maintaining native habitat for wildlife on the sanctuary property as well as caring for any new animals who may need our help. Funds go directly to feed, vet bills and facility upkeep. All donations are tax deductible. Big love
