Frankfort Fire Protection District is facing growing challenges as emergency demands increase and resources are stretched.

đź”´ Staffing falls below recommended levels.
đź”´ Fire trucks and ambulances are aging.
đź”´ Life-saving medical equipment needs updating.
đź”´ Cost-saving measures can no longer keep pace.

These challenges can affect the District’s ability to provide the level of fire, rescue and emergency medical services our community relies on.

FFPD has a proposal on the Nov. 3 ballot to address these needs. Get the facts and learn what the proposal means for our community.

The Frankfort Fire Protection District invites you to join us on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Frankfort Fire Protection District 9/11 Memorial Garden as we gather to remember and reflect on the events of September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years have passed since a day that forever changed our nation. Together, we will honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, including the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency responders, military personnel, and civilians whose courage, sacrifice, and service will never be forgotten.

We will also take this opportunity to remember and honor all fallen firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, and public safety personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities, as well as those whose lives were lost in the years following September 11 due to illnesses related to their service at Ground Zero and other recovery sites.

We invite our residents, families, first responders, veterans, and community members to stand with us in remembrance.

Friday, September 11, 2026
Ceremony begins at 9:00 a.m.
