🐾🧡 This weekend’s Paws & Pumpkins event was about more than fall fun—it was a celebration of second chances, community, and the dogs who bring us together.

Dedicating our Buddy Bench in honor of Tater was such a special part of the day. His determination, funny personality, and incredible recovery touched so many hearts. Now, this bench will be a place to sit, share a little love with a rescue dog, and remember our sweet boy.

Thank you to Dr. Gupta and Aboite Boarding & Grooming for partnering with Wags & Wiggles and giving so many animals a safe place while they prepare for their forever homes . Your support has helped us change lives, and we are so grateful.

A heartfelt thank-you to Tater’s adopters, Brie and Scott Marker, for donating this beautiful bench—and, most of all, for giving Tater such a fabulous home filled with love. We couldn’t have wished for a better family for him. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, donated, and celebrated with us. This bench is a reminder of what happens when a community comes together to give animals a chance. 🐾

What started out as a plea for any available rescue to take a portion of a litter of twelve tiny filthy puppies that were left abandoned in a bin outside a shelter, led to four finding their way to Wags & Wiggles rescue. We are so thankful to the volunteer willing to make the drive to take them on their freedom ride AND the two fosters that stepped up and made it possible for these bittie babies to grow and thrive for the last several weeks!! Crimson, Clover, Cobalt, and Clementine will all be ready in the next week to make the journey into their furever homes. As they were abandoned without either parent, we could only guess at their breed mix, but we expect them to be medium sized dogs when full grown.

🐾💕 MEET LUCY! 💕🐾
Lucy is believed to be a Mini Australian Shepherd, and she is blind and mostly deaf. But Lucy doesn’t know she’s supposed to be “different.” She’s busy being a puppy! 🐶💗
She has learned her way around her foster home, happily plays with the other dogs, keeps her crate tidy, and is learning that potty time belongs outside. She is curious, playful, affectionate, and incredibly smart. ✨
Lucy will have special needs throughout her life, though, and finding the right forever home for her is especially important. Because she cannot depend on sight or hearing, she must have a confident, friendly resident dog who can help show her the ropes. That special canine friend will become an important source of comfort, security, and guidance as Lucy grows.
🏡 Lucy also needs a securely fenced yard.
A fence isn't just a preference for this little girl — it's an essential safety measure.
And because Lucy is still a tiny puppy who uses her mouth and teeth to explore and communicate (like puppies do!), we are recommending no young children, especially while she is so small and vulnerable.
We know Lucy's perfect home may take a little extra searching. ❤️ She needs someone patient and committed to teaching her through touch, scent, routine, consistency, and lots of love. Someone who understands that her needs won't disappear when she grows out of her adorable five-pound puppy stage.
But imagine being the person who gets to watch this little girl discover that the world is safe. That routines make sense. That she has a doggy friend to follow. That she is loved exactly as she is. 🥹💕
Lucy doesn't need anyone to feel sorry for her.
She needs someone to believe in her. ❤️
🏡 Lucy's forever home must have:
🐕 A confident, friendly resident dog
🌳 A securely fenced yard
👧 Mature children, if any
💗 Patience, understanding, and a lifelong willingness to accommodate a blind/deaf dog
