Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida was proud to collaborate with Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida at the McDonald's NFLA Conference, creating a meaningful opportunity to connect with McDonald's owner/operators nationwide.
Throughout the conference, our shared booth became a gathering place where attendees could learn and share more about the impact of Ronald McDonald House and the families we serve every day. To engage the owner/operators in a special way, we invited them to answer one simple question:
"In one word, what does Ronald McDonald House mean to you?"
The response was overwhelming.
One by one, attendees added colorful hearts filled with words that reflected their connection to our mission: hope, family, comfort, love, support, healing, care, strength, compassion, community, and home. By the end of the conference, the heart was full, serving as a powerful visual reminder of McDonald's owner/operators' deep commitment to ensure families remain near their child during a medical crisis.
In addition to the exhibit, the Women Owners Network (WON) hosted a raffle for a beautiful Louis Vuitton handbag generously donated through Tapcheck. The raffle generated tremendous enthusiasm and demonstrated the extraordinary generosity of McDonald's owner/operators. Together, they helped raise more than $26,000 to support RMHC SWFL and RMHC SFL.
We are grateful to everyone who stopped by, shared their stories, and demonstrated their continued support of Ronald McDonald House. Together, we filled more than a heart display; we celebrated the values that unite us in caring for families when they need it most.
