Military Spouse J.D. Network The Military Spouse JD Network is an international network of legal professionals improving the lives of military families.

We advocate for licensing accommodations for military spouses, including bar membership without additional examination. The Military Spouse JD Network is a bar association for military spouses. We support military spouses in the legal professions by:

* advocating for bar membership without examination for military spouse attorneys in every state,

* educating the community about the challenges fa

cing military families, and

* providing a network for spouses to connect with and support each other. MSJDN includes military spouses and partners from all five branches of the United States Military: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy as well as spouses of retired service members, and legal and military organizations who support our mission. In February 2012, with the support of the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession, the ABA House of Delegates adopted a resolution supporting changes in state licensing rules for military spouses with law degrees. In July 2012, the Conference of Chief Justices voted to support a resolution for admission of military spouse attorneys without examination. MSJDN provides a model rule for bar licensing authorities interested in supporting military families through admission without examination of military spouse attorneys. MSJDN supports such a rule change in each jurisdiction.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride Month is both a celebration and a history lesson.

From the Stonewall uprising of 1969 to the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell in 2011 to the landmark Bostock v. Clayton County decision in 2020, the fight for LGBTQIA+ equality has always moved through the courts, through advocacy, and through the courage of those who refused to be invisible.

At MSJDN/F, we know that community is our strength, and that includes our LGBTQIA+ military-connected spouses, partners, and legal professionals who serve this network and this country with their full, authentic selves.

This June, we celebrate every member of our community. We honor the history that brought us here. And we recommit to building a legal landscape where every military family is fully protected, without exception.

We are excited to welcome our newest directors and celebrate the dedicated leaders continuing their service to our community. As we begin a new Board term, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our outgoing President, Rachael Fielder, for her extraordinary leadership over the past year.

Through her vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment to military-connected spouses in the legal community, Rachael helped usher in a new era of growth and engagement for MSJDN/F. From strengthening member outreach and expanding opportunities for connection, to bringing back signature programs like the Foundation Awards Gala, and Making the Right Moves, she led with purpose, optimism, and a clear focus on the future. Her leadership has strengthened our community, elevated our impact, and positioned MSJDN and the Foundation for continued success as we enter our 15th year.

While her term as President has come to a close, we are fortunate that this is not goodbye. We are thrilled to continue benefiting from her experience and guidance as she transitions into the role of Immediate Past President.
