UPDATE

The prior cart on Williamsburg was taken by the county. We are currently in search of alternate channels. For stable food items please consider AFAC. The Arlington Public Library on Quincy has collection boxes for AFAC inside and a cabinet where food and toiletries can be donated/accessed 24/7.

MUTUAL AID UPDATES

The food and hygiene items at our Stationary Supply Cart (on Williamsburg Blvd between West and Westmoreland) are flying off the shelves, so we will be restocking twice a week now on Wednesday and Saturday. We are also looking for opportunities to set up additional Stationary Supply Carts throughout Arlington.

Our Mobile Outreach this last weekend was able to distribute dozens of fresh meals and supply bags. More importantly it was a chance to hear from our unhoused community what they most need right now. While our Mylar blankets, rain ponchos and socks were greatly appreciated, folks are desperately in need of winter coats and warm weather clothes as well as tents and thermal sleeping bags. These are high ticket items that we are hoping the community can help us provide with either financial donations or donations of these items in good, clean condition. Please message us if you are able to help.

With the termination of the eviction moratorium and soaring housing prices in Arlington, our underserved communities need us now more than ever. Come join the effort. Mutual aid is love.

UPDATE - Please share with anyone in need

Hey everyone! Our fundraisers have allowed us to restock!

Our MOBILE UNIT will be at the Kiss and Ride Lot at the EFC metro this Sunday - 10/21 12-2 with supplies for the unhoused or anyone in need including Mylar blankets, socks, coats, food and hygiene items. Look for a brown Kia with the Arlington Mutual Aid sign on it. Watch for future Mobile Unit distribution at other Metro stations throughout the area.

We also have a STATIONARY SUPPLY CART under the 66 over pass on West St and Westmoreland that we restock every Wednesday. Please take what you need and give what you can.

Items most in need (you can drop at stationary supply stand or of too large on the porch of 7024 Williamsburg Blvd)

Sleeping bags
Blankets and Mylar blankets
Winter coats, hats and gloves
Tube socks (preferably white)
Diapers and formula
Canned goods
Ready to eat items (granola bars, etc)
Backpacks/Totes
Tarps large enough to sleep on
Small tents

OUR FIRST FUNDRAISER!

AMA will be hosting a fundraising tag sale this week to raise money for our Hygiene and Snack bags and restock our mobile "Take what you Need/Give what you Can" cart. Come for the deals or bring donations for the sale or our Mobile Supply Unit.
