Our Junior Leadership Fort Dodge participants enjoyed a fun-filled day exploring the amazing recreational opportunities this region has to offer!

From touring the Mart Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center and learning about our local parks and conservation efforts to tackling the challenge course at Camp WaNoKi and enjoying trail rides at Gypsum City OHV Park, it was a great day of learning, teamwork, and outdoor adventure!

A HUGE thank you to our speakers, Webster County Conservation Matt Cosgrove, Fort Dodge Recreation Services Hannah Angstrom, and Karen Hanson; our OHV drivers, Tessa Berg, Cody Peterson, Tom Ubben, Matt Peterson, Jeremiah Condon, Darren Herzog, Devon Schuster, Dylan Hagen, and Bruce Wagner; Tropical Smoothie Café for sponsoring lunch; and Stephen Hindman for delivering it! Yesterday was a great day to celebrate! We cut the ribbon with Aquatrim Molecular Health and officially welcomed them as one of our newest Growth Alliance members. ✂️

Dr. Angela McGregor and Tami McBurney have built something special, a place where people can walk in, be heard and get care that fits their lives. It was wonderful to see so many friends, neighbors and Ambassadors come out to cheer them on.

Meet Danyell Artley, Leadership Fort Dodge participant! 🎉

Danyell has built her career around helping young people reach their full potential. After earning degrees from NIACC and UNI and spending eight years working with at-risk youth, she joined Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates. Today she leads Iowa’s first iJAG college success program at Iowa Central Community College.

Outside of work, she enjoys art, music, reading, and time with her family. Welcome, Danyell!

Something big is going up at Iowa Central Community College! 🏗️

The new 24,000-square-foot Center for Sports Performance will house athletic training and football for Iowa Central Tritons and give students more room for hands-on learning. Last week, we welcomed Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate to Fort Dodge. Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate

It was eye-opening to hear how much his office does for Iowans, from elections and business filings to programs that protect some of our most vulnerable neighbors. Secretary Pate also shared his passion for making Iowa a trafficking-free state through Iowa Businesses Against Trafficking (IBAT) and Iowa Safe at Home. Thank you, Secretary Pate, for taking the time to meet with us and for your leadership.
