Yesterday, our Cub Scouts were BRAVE as they traveled through the prairie lands in search of fairies (butterflies) to tag, for a conservation project. While following the Buddy System and the S.A.W. Method, they were able to remain safe when Robert, the Ogre, tested them along their journey! With the help of Corbin, the knight, our Cub Scouts were able to defeat the ogre army and return safely from their travels and enjoy a popcorn celebration!

A HUGE SHOUTOUT to Robert Studyvin, Andrew Richard Gilbert, Rebecca Ekiert, and Corbin Dutcher, this could not have happened without you! Thank you for making our Popcorn Kickoff event AMAZING!

Popcorn Kickoff tonight! Join us at the Fort Dodge Middle School, starting at 6pm, as our Cub Scouts venture into the prairie lands. By using the buddy system and the S.A.W. method, can our Cub Scouts complete their quest without being ensnared by the lurking Ogre!?

Cub Scouts should bring their 6 essential items since we will be outdoors. 1. Filled water bottle, 2. Whistle, 3. Med Kit, 4. Sunscreen, 5. Flashlight, 6. Trail Mix. We understand that it's a new habit to get used to, so if Cub Scouts do not have all 6 items, please aim to bring the first two. Whistles and bags were given to Cub Scouts last Monday as we have been preparing for outdoor fun.

Please park in the South parking lot, as we will be walking through the prairie area on that side of the school. We will post a Cub Scout sign in the area we are gathering. See you tonight!

Back to School Open Houses this week! We are so very thankful to have been able to have a booth set up at these schools this year; Duncombe Elementary School, Butler Elementary School, and Community Christian School - Iowa ☺️

It was great to see families returning to school and the excitement that comes with it. We're excited to welcome in new families to our Cub Scout program as well! Thank you to everyone that took a moment to learn about the Cub Scout program; we will be drawing for another free membership this weekend, based on the forms collected at the Open Houses!

Thank you Pack 3 leaders, parents, and Cub Scouts for helping to run our Cub Scout booths this year! Y'all are amazing and we're not afraid to show it! Check out some photos from these last two days! πŸ˜„πŸ˜

Our 2nd Annual Family Fun Day event! Thank you very much for all of the adult helpers that ran a station on Saturday! Our Cub Scout program would not be able to run without you being involved. A huge shout out to our Scouts BSA Troop members that came to help as well! It is heartwarming and exciting to see those that were Cub Scouts, now at the Troop level and being able to be in a leadership role more!

To the families that were able to attend, thank you for spending some time with us Saturday, we hope that you and your kiddos had a great time! Pack leadership will be reaching out to you based on what night of the week worked better for your family. πŸ™‚

Lastly, but definitely not least! Thank you Fort Dodge Community School District for helping to get the word out to our Fort Dodge families!
