Join us for our next Shoals Area Lions Club Meeting on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library.

We're excited to welcome Megan Simmons as our guest speaker. Megan will share the exciting vision for Deibert Park and the incredible work being done to create a more accessible and inclusive playground for children and families of all abilities.

We'll also be celebrating an exciting milestone as we induct our newest Lions Club members into our growing club!

✔️ Bring a friend, family member, neighbor, or anyone interested in making a difference in our community or willing to learn more about the plans for Deibert Park!

Another great evening with the Shoals Area Lions Club! 🦁

We had 12 members and guests join us tonight at Swampers for an informative program featuring Nicole Watson, who shared more about the vital 211 services available in our area, as well as the incredible impact of Dress for Success, helping individuals build confidence and prepare for employment opportunities.

To top it all off, we enjoyed the sounds of W.C. Handy Fest live music playing in the background, making for a wonderful night of fellowship and community.

📅 Mark your calendars! Our next meeting will be Wednesday, August 6, at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, where we’ll begin planning our upcoming year of service.

Lions around the world welcome 2026–2027 Lions Clubs International President Mark Lyon as we begin a new Lions year built on one simple truth: service changes lives.

But here’s the question we’d like to ask our community…

Are you potted… or are you planted?

A potted plant is easy to move. It never truly belongs anywhere.

A planted tree grows deep roots. It provides shade for others. It stands strong through every season. It leaves the world better than it found it.

Our communities don’t need more people standing on the sidelines.

Congratulations to club President, Dustin, for being recognized at the International Convention in Hong Kong, China! 🇨🇳

🏅🎉 Double the celebration for the Lions of North Alabama District 34-A!

Congratulations to Craig Gadow, Dustin Phillips, and Kelley Caudle on earning Gold Hero Award Status, announced at the 2026 Lions Clubs International Convention in Hong Kong. This prestigious honor recognizes Lions who recruited five or more new members during the Lions year.

We're also proud to celebrate District 34-A** for earning the Gold Medal District Membership Growth Award by achieving our membership growth goals!

These accomplishments reflect the dedication, leadership, and commitment of our members to growing Lions and expanding our ability to serve communities throughout North Alabama and beyond.

Our club President is a speaker this fall!

🔥Igniting the Stage: Meet Dustin Phillips!

Graduation is called a beginning, but what if we told you it’s the last day the system is required to care? Dustin Phillips is an educator, advocate, and nonprofit leader passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for individuals and families with exceptional needs. As the sibling of a brother with exceptional needs, Dustin experienced firsthand how support can exist one day and disappear the next, an experience that shaped both his personal mission and professional career. Dustin is the founder of the Chadwick Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals with exceptional needs and their families through programming, advocacy, respite opportunities, and community connection. In addition, he coordinates Night to Shine Shoals.
