We're honored to announce that Donna Fry, PhD. is the 2026 recipient of the Dr. Clement A. Alfred Humanitarian Award!

Dr. Fry is a Professional of Physical Therapy at the University of Michigan-Flint, where she has served as faculty and administrator since 1987. As a dean at UM-Flint, Dr. Fry added health care programs to expand Genesee County's healthcare workforce and created student opportunities in a variety of health professions. Dedicated to health equity, Donna contributed to the creation and operation of UM-Flint's former Urban Health and Wellness Center and provided administrative support for the creation of HEART (Health Equity, Action, Research and Teaching), a student and faculty-run pro-bono clinic in the University Of Michigan-Flint College of Health Sciences.

The Dr. Clement A. Alfred Humanitarian Award is presented each year to a Flint area health professional who demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and humanitarian goals.

We're honored to announce that Jayashree "Jay" Kommareddi is the 2026 recipient of the Libby Award!

Since moving to Genesee County from Delhi, India over 50 years ago, Jay has worked as an organizer, advocate, volunteer, and administrative healthcare professional. A longtime anti-trafficking advocate, she co-founded the Genesee County Human Trafficking Task Force and chaired the MI Women's Commission's Human Trafficking Initiative and the Michigan Human Trafficking Health Advisory Board. She has volunteered with the Genesee County Medical Society Alliance and many local and statewide boards.

Jay and her husband, Prasad, established the Kommareddi Family Fund and Arts & Culture Fund at CFGF, and the Suseela Kanuri & Satyavathi Anne Fund β€” named for her mother and sister β€” through CFGF's Flint Women and Girls Fund.

The Libby Award was created in honor of Olivia P. "Libby" Maynard and recognizes a lifelong philanthropist and advocate for women and girls in Genesee County.
