Last month, we welcomed leaders from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to Fitzgerald, Georgia, to see how American farmers, rural communities, and innovative nutrition solutions come together to save lives. 🇺🇸🥜
As USDA Under Secretary Luke Lindberg put it, you can’t have “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” if you aren’t fed.
Every day, we transform Georgia-grown peanuts into Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), a simple, proven treatment that helps children recover from severe malnutrition. 🥜🧡
We’re grateful to engage in this work alongside farmers, factory workers, and a global supply chain of care. Together, we’re proving that one of the world’s biggest problems can be solved right here in rural America.
Special thanks to USDA, Luke Lindberg, Ambassador Lynda Blanchard, Bruce Levell, Amit Paley of the Malnutrition Advocacy Fund, Georgia Peanuts, Eleanor Crook Foundation and many more!
