Several members of the Ben Hill - Irwin Retired Educators recently attended the August meeting in Macon, Ga. Vice President Sheila Jefferson, Treasurer Evelyn Anderson, Rudolph and Maude Russell were in attendance. The meeting provided valuable insights regarding the 2025-2026 year.

Nelda Olivia Wardlow Patrick, retired educator recently passed away on August 19, 2025. She taught at Fitzgerald High School for many years. Please keep her family in your prayers and thoughts in Jesus name.

Ben Hill-Irwin Retired Educators will convene for their monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, @ 10:30 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church 126 Lincoln Avenue, Fitzgerald, Ga.
Retired educators are cordially invited to join us as we welcome Autumn and explore upcoming events that will benefit alll attendees. Chief Smallwood will serve as our distinguished guest speaker, and Mary Johnson will provide entertainment. We will also extend a warm welcome to our newly appointed President Sheila Jefferson, and Secretary, Dr. Mizell Emethel, of Ocilla, Ga, as President Dr. Lillie Bryant's term concludes for 2024-2025.
Please mark your calendars for our upcoming meetings: Wednesday, October 8th AMBA @ Ocilla Church of God and Wednesday, November 12th, featuring GREA Executive Director Johnny Smith.

65th Georgia Retired Eudcators Convention in Augusta, Ga. We had a blast with entertainment, breakout sessions and much more. Our new President (GREA) Geraldine Reed 2025-26. Her motto is keep focus with the vision already in place for GREA. Her colors are red, white and blue. Service project for every unit “The Children Hospital of Georgia “. Thanks to every area we raised over $40,000 for Make A Wish Foundation.
