Parents: It is our hope that this space will be a gift to you as well. A safe place for your tweens/teens to come afterschool, between practices, until you finish working, or while you run errands.

A place where there will always be a friend or two to spend time with, caring adults supervising the space, and fun to be had.

Living in the county like so many Ferndale residents do = lots of driving back and forth to downtown. We hope to help offload drive time and keep kids together and in community during those afterschool and weekend times.

While the space is designed for our youth, the hope is that it will be good for the whole family!

🤩 Look at this future youth space kid helping to prepare for our Italian soda bar and teen interviews! 🤩

We get so excited when we see young ones serving our middle and high schoolers.
When we see parents and grandparents pouring resources and support over our teens. This connection across generations is so good.

It was so fun to finally have youth in our space! Thank you Chuckanut Health Foundation for sending your amazing crew to interview our kids about what it’s like to grow up in Ferndale.

They asked questions like:
☀️What’s it like to be a teen in Ferndale?
☀️What do you wish adults would know about being a teen right now?
☀️Why are you excited about this space?
☀️How will this space impact you and our community?

And so much more! We can’t wait to share the final video with you all.
