🌟 2027 Whatcom County Youth Fair Needs YOU! 🌟
We’re dreaming big for next year and would love to bring back these popular divisions:
✅ Beef
✅ Entrepreneurship
✅ Poultry
✅ Junior Rodeo
✅ Photography
✅ and more…

We’re also open to new division ideas — if you have something fun and educational in mind, we want to hear it!

We’re currently looking for passionate Superintendents to lead these divisions. This is a rewarding volunteer role where you’ll help shape the fair experience for local youth.
Superintendent responsibilities include:
• Planning and organizing your division
• Creating fun educational classes and resources
• Ordering prizes and premiums
• Recruiting volunteers and judges
• Working with our amazing Teen Leaders

Superintendents, Teen Leaders, volunteers, and our incredible community are what make this fair so special — a true hands-on, learning-focused event for kids ages 6–18.

If you’re interested in being a Superintendent (or know someone who would be great), please comment below, send us a message, or email [email protected]

Let’s make 2027 our best fair yet! 💪🐄🐓📸🤠

Hard to believe it’s been 2 years since we lost the Whatcom County Youth Fair Founder. Chris Paul's remarkable foresight, profound knowledge, and tireless community involvement have always been a beacon of inspiration for many. She help to start to Lynden PRCA rodeo, was a huge supporter of 4-H and FFA. Her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact served as a shining example of what it means to be an influential role model. Though her passing left a gaping hole in the Ag. community, her enduring legacy continues to inspire us all and will for years to come.

You are be missed “Grandma” Chris. We will continue to honor Chris is carrying on the fair and her memorial scholarship.

🎉 The Whatcom County Youth Fair might be over… but the work certainly isn’t!
While we’re busy finalizing all the paperwork and wrapping up behind the scenes, we want to give a huge THANK YOU to the Schmautz family! 🙌
Thank you for jumping in to help pack everything up and clean the expo and office after the crowds went home. You made a big job so much lighter and more fun!
We’ve loved watching your family grow with our fair — starting as excited exhibitors and turning into such strong leaders and incredible volunteers. The Schmautz girls are the perfect example of what this fair is all about: awesome kids becoming awesome teen leaders and then amazing volunteers who give back.
Our fair simply couldn’t happen without dedicated families like yours and so many others who step up year after year. You are truly appreciated! ❤️
Let’s keep that community spirit going strong! Who else is already thinking about next year?
Drop a ❤️ or tag a volunteer or family who deserves a shoutout!

🎉 Did you know? The Whatcom County Youth Fair and the Northwest Washington Fair are actually two separate fairs with their own organizations and boards!
Even though we use their grounds and they’ve been incredibly generous with their support, staff help, and donations, our little Youth Fair runs 100% on volunteers and heart. No paid staff, no carnival rides, no big entertainment (unless you count watching the kids have the time of their lives 😂), and no vendors. We’re small but mighty!
We’re so blessed to be part of this amazing community that lifts each other up. The Northwest Washington Fair is an absolute gem, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
Now it’s your turn! 🌟
Take those awesome projects and skills you worked on at the Whatcom County Youth Fair this year and go show them off! Enter in the Northwest Washington Fair and all the other great fairs in our area. Let’s keep the ag, creativity, and community spirit going strong!
Who’s entering this year? Drop a 🐄🐓🥕 or tag a friend who needs to enter their project!

Hey everyone!
If you’ve found any items that don’t belong to you, please reach out! We know how it goes — tack gets set down for a minute, coats get thrown over rails, water bottles get mixed up, you borrow something from someone but don’t know who, etc. It happens to all of us.
If you accidentally picked up something that isn’t yours (or if you’ve realized you have someone else’s gear), let us know so we can help get it back to the rightful owner.
We’re all one team — let’s look out for each other!
Drop a comment, send a message, or tag the owner if you know who it belongs to. Thank you! 🙌 Whitnee Denson
