Today, the Rotary Club of Fayetteville held its final General Membership Meeting of the 2025–2026 Rotary fiscal year, and what an incredible year it has been!

As we reflect on the past twelve months, we are filled with gratitude for our dedicated members, community partners, sponsors, and friends who helped make this a truly successful year of service. Together, we strengthened our club, welcomed new members, supported local and international initiatives, sponsored youth leadership opportunities, celebrated our seniors, partnered with outstanding organizations, and continued our commitment to Service Above Self.

We are proud of the impact we have made throughout Fayette County and beyond, and we are excited about the future of our club.

A special thank you to our leadership team and every Rotarian who gave their time, talents, and hearts to serve others this year. Your dedication is what makes the Rotary Club of Fayetteville such a vibrant and caring organization.

As we close one Rotary year and prepare for another, we look forward to welcoming our incoming President, Paul Donaldson, and his leadership team at our next meeting on Tuesday, July 7th.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission. Together, we are making a difference in our community, one project, one partnership, and one act of service at a time.

What a wonderful weekend of Rotary fellowship, leadership, and service!

Members of the Sheffield Leadership Society from Rotary District 6900 traveled to historic Americus, Georgia, for the Society's annual gala and celebration. The Sheffield Leadership Society recognizes Rotarians who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to supporting The Rotary Foundation and advancing Rotary's mission of Service Above Self.

Also during the weekend, some of the Rotarians proudly served as volunteers at Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) held at Georgia Southwestern State University. RYLA is Rotary's premier leadership development program that equips high school students with valuable leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while fostering friendships with students from across Georgia.

The Rotary Club of Fayetteville was especially proud to sponsor three students to attend this year's RYLA program, helping invest in the next generation of leaders. Watching these young people grow in confidence, embrace new challenges, and develop their leadership potential was both inspiring and rewarding.

Weekends like this remind us that Rotary is more than service projects—it's about developing leaders, building relationships, and creating opportunities that positively impact our communities for years to come.

Our Rotary Club of Fayetteville had a wonderful meeting this week as we welcomed guest speaker Courtney Hopkins from AVPRIDE’s After School Enrichment Program (ASEP), along with two outstanding students we are proud to sponsor for RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards).

Over the next few days, these young ladies will join students from across Georgia for an incredible leadership development experience focused on building confidence, strengthening communication skills, developing teamwork, and inspiring servant leadership. Through interactive activities, workshops, and new friendships, RYLA empowers students to discover their potential and become leaders in their schools, communities, and beyond.

We are excited for them to represent our community and can’t wait to hear about their experiences when they return. Investing in our youth today helps create the leaders of tomorrow!
