The Fayette Fire Foundation Board Members have exciting news to share with our friends and business owners within the Fayette County and surrounding areas for the upcoming Billy Horschel Atlanta Classic presented by Zurich noted below.
We have 76 to 80 youth golfers and their families coming to Fayette County from throughout the U.S. and internationally to participate in the upcoming tournament. Checkout the sponsorship opportunities still available and support the benefiting charities for this year’s tournament.

We are writing with some exciting news! The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and The Planterra Club will be teaming up once again to host the Billy Horschel Atlanta Classic presented by Zurich from August 27-30. The AJGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
2026 marks the seventh year in Fayette County, and since then, we estimate the tournament has had a local economic impact in excess of $1.6 million, and the event has received national recognition on multiple occasions as the Open Tournament of the Year in 2023 and Volunteer Tournament of the Year in 2025 by the AJGA.
The tournament will be proceeded by the Truett’s Group Junior-Am presented by Chick-fil-A on Thursday, August 27th. The Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament raises money for local and national charities and pairs teams of three amateurs with some of the game’s future stars for an unforgettable round of golf in a fun "shamble” format. The tournament has raised over $800,000 for benefiting charities, and we are excited to continue to see that number grow! Proceeds from the 2026 event will support the Fayette Fire Foundation, Horschel Family Foundation, and the Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant.
