The Fayette County Area Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., in partnership with the American Red Cross, is hosting an MLK Day Blood Drive, and we are calling on our community to come together and help save lives.

Sickle cell disease affects 100,000 people in the U.S., and African American patients are disproportionately impacted, with 1 in 365 African American babies born with the condition. Many rely on regular blood transfusions for relief during painful crises and to prevent serious complications. Because the best blood matches often come from donors of the same race or ethnicity, African American donors play a crucial role.

Your donation can directly support patients in our community who desperately need closely matched
blood.
