Unfortunately not the update we wanted to bring y'all...

We lost Cava early this morning. Her blood sugar dropped super low around 5 am; they moved her to the ICU and were in the process of regulating her sugar and raising her body temp when her heart stopped.

We are super grateful to all of the veterinary professionals who worked to help us and Cava; we are also extremely thankful to everyone who donated and sent positive thoughts. Please give Samantha and the crew time and space as they sort through this loss.

Quick Cava update! She is handling treatment well and her vets have noted an uptick in her red blood cell count. She has had a dietary change and her appetite has increased; her digestive issues are improving.
