Farmington/Farmington Hills Education Foundation The Farmington/Farmington Hills Education Foundation was established in July 2012 to promote and support innovative programs in Farmington Public Schools.

We are a non-profit charitable organization under IRS Code section 501(c)(3). The Farmington/Farmington Hills Education Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are independent from the District. Funding and support decisions are made in collaboration with district goals and initiatives.

๐Ÿ’™You might know him as ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‹๐š๐ง๐ข๐ ๐š๐ง, the man in the picture of Lanigan Elementaryโ€™s front lobby. He was the heart of Larkshire Elementary in Farmington Public Schools, from its opening in 1965 until he retired after 31 years. Upon his retirement, Mr. Lanigan was touched and greatly honored when the Farmington School District renamed Larkshire to be ๐‰.๐€. ๐‹๐š๐ง๐ข๐ ๐š๐ง ๐„๐ฅ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ.

๐Ÿ’™Every student who walked through the doors at Larkshire and Lanigan knew they were welcome, safe, and loved. By leading a collaboration with parents, teachers, and community members, Mr. Lanigan aided in feeding families, clothing children, running holiday drives, and reaching out to those who could benefit from support.

๐Ÿ’™Upon his death in 2025, a fund was established to continue to support students who attended Lanigan Elementary. His family, colleagues, and Lanigan staff past and present are honored to support a former Lanigan student to achieve their full potential through the ๐€๐ฅ ๐‹๐š๐ง๐ข๐ ๐š๐ง ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ.
