🧡 CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP TEDDY? 🧡

Location: Within an hour of Farmington Hills.

Teddy is a silly orange boy who apparently has decided that crossing a large 4-lane road is an acceptable life choice. 🙄

We have tried explaining the concept of “maybe don't do that.”
Teddy remains unconvinced.

No owner. No home. Just one very friendly, very silly boy who seems determined to defy the odds every time he heads toward the road.

We'd really like to change his luck before those odds catch up with him.

🧡 Teddy needs a foster home.

He's very friendly, and he is HIGHLY motivated by Churu — which may be the key to convincing him that indoor living is actually pretty fantastic.

We don't yet know how he does with other cats or children, so we'll need a little time to figure that out.

What we do know?

He's sweet.
He's silly.
He's absolutely adorable.
And he's apparently terrible at making safe life choices. 😂

65 cats in our care + 40 community cats being supported through feeding, outreach, and TNR means our supply list is always growing! 😹

Our foster homes go through a LOT of everyday essentials — food, litter, cleaning supplies, treats, toys, and all those little things that keep our cats happy, healthy, and comfortable.

🚨 HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? 🚨

Seriously.

How does a cat go from THIS… to THAT… in just three months?

This gorgeous boy was adopted on June 6th of THIS YEAR.

Three months ago, he was a beautiful, healthy-looking cat who deserved a loving home.

Today?

He's broken.

His fur is almost completely gone. His whiskers are broken and brittle. His body tells a story that we desperately wish he could tell us himself.

And yet, despite everything he's been through…

he still purrs.

He still wants pets.

He still leans into affection.

He is still looking for the love he was promised.

We know the rescue he originally came from. They are working hard to get him healthy again. ❤️

We know who adopted him.

What we don't know — and what we may never understand — is WHY.

How does someone take responsibility for a living, breathing animal and then allow things to get to this point?

And perhaps the most heartbreaking part?

She wasn't even looking for him.

No lost-cat posts.

No neighborhood signs.

No attempt to locate him.

No notification to the microchip company.

Nothing.

Someone else found him.

Someone else cared enough to get him help.

Someone else looked at this cat and said, “You need help, and we're going to help you.”

And now the organization that originally trusted this person with him is working to put him back together.

💔 This is why rescues ask questions.
💔 This is why we check references.
💔 This is why we microchip.
💔 This is why responsible adoption matters.

Because when you adopt an animal, you aren't taking home an object.

You are taking responsibility for a life.

A life that depends on you.

A life that deserves food, medical care, safety, affection and protection — even when things get difficult.

We are angry.

We are heartbroken.

And we are incredibly grateful that this sweet boy is now somewhere safe, being cared for and given the chance to heal.

But we also want to make sure this never happens to another animal.

🚨 PLEASE. WE NEED HELP FOR JASPER & PHOEBE. 🚨

*Location* We are located in Farmington Hills. We are accepting fosters in the Metro Detroit area.

Look at these faces. 💔

Jasper is a handsome Russian Blue-colored boy.
Phoebe is his beautiful gray-and-white sister.

They are just 11 months old.

They are spayed/neutered.
They are up to date on their vaccines.
They LOVE Churu. ❤️
They LOVE playing together.

And they are very, very shy.

But please understand why.

For the past 9 months of their lives, Jasper and Phoebe have been tucked away with very little human love or interaction.

They haven't had the chance to learn that hands can be gentle.

That laps can be safe.

That people can be trusted.

That a home can mean love.

So yes… they're scared.

But they aren't broken.

They just need someone willing to teach them how to be loved. 🥺

And this is where we are begging for your help.

Jasper and Phoebe are NOT currently with Feral Today Friend Tomorrow. We are trying desperately to pull them into our rescue before they lose their chance.

Their current situation expires in TWO WEEKS.

If we cannot find them a foster home, their next stop will be a barn home.

And we can't stop thinking about that.

Two young cats who have spent most of their lives without much human love…

deserving the chance to spend the rest of their lives inside, safe, warm, loved, and finally learning what it means to be someone's family. 💔

We know this won't be an overnight transformation.

There may be hiding.

There may be hesitation.

There may be days where they take one tiny step forward and two steps back.

That's okay.

We don't need someone to make Jasper and Phoebe love humans tomorrow.

We need someone willing to say:

“I'll give you the time you need.”

❤️ MARTY McSMALL FRY UPDATE! ❤️

Remember little Marty? When we first met him, he was just 3 days old and a tiny 90 grams. His momma had left him behind with his siblings, and this little guy was suddenly on his own.

But Marty had other plans. 🥹

With around-the-clock bottles, warmth, care, and A LOT of love, our tiny guy has been growing stronger every day.

And now… MARTY IS EATING SOLID FOOD! 🎉

Well… eating might be a generous term. 😂

He's definitely eating it. He's just also wearing it. On his face. His paws. His belly. Pretty much anywhere except where the food was intended to go.

But that's okay. He's figuring it out! And watching this little guy go from a fragile newborn to a happy, growing kitten is pretty darn amazing. ❤️

We're pretty sure his future is looking bright — and if Marty has anything to say about it, he's going there at full speed. ⚡🐾
