Feral Today Friend Tomorrow

Feral Today Friend Tomorrow We socialize and prepare abandoned and un-housed cats and kittens for permanent homes via our foster network.

We also work to reduce the overpopulation of feral cats in the Metro Detroit Area through TNR to help cats live happier, healthier lives.

✨ Transformation Tuesday ✨

This is Henry (previously Merlin)! 🐾

We absolutely LOVE getting photos from our adopters showing off their amazing kitties, and look how handsome this little guy turned out. 💛

Henry is full of love and can never get enough snuggles with his humans. Stories like his remind us why rescue matters so much.

A special thank you to Shadowbox Photography for capturing this gorgeous photo of this gorgeous boy! 📸🐱

These are the beautiful babies that came into our care this week. 🖤

If you need a reason to spay and neuter your pets… this is it. Rescue is overflowing everywhere. There are simply not enough homes, fosters, rescues, or resources for the number of kittens being born every single day. Spaying and neutering truly saves lives and helps prevent so much suffering.

Right now, we also have a waiting list that includes:

• 4 moms with 16 nursing babies
• 15 older kittens needing placement

This is beyond overwhelming. Please do better for them.

And if you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time. Fosters are the reason we can say “yes” to cats in need. Even opening your home short-term can save lives.

Please:

• Spay and neuter your pets
• Encourage others to do the same
• Foster if you can
• Adopt when you’re ready
• Share rescue posts and resources

Help us help them. 🐾

This sweet little guy is Oogie Boogie.

He’s a tiny fighter living with hydrocephalus, and he has already shown us just how strong and resilient he is. This morning he was doing amazing, but tonight he’s feeling tired and showing some lethargy. We’re doing everything we can to help him and keep him comfortable.

Please send some love, prayers, and good vibes for this precious little man. Hydrocephalus can be a difficult road for such a tiny baby, but he’s fighting hard and we’re right beside him every step of the way.

Everyone meet _________

We are thinking either Yellvis or Drama Bean. Please let us know your vote or another idea for this little monster!

He climbed up here to announce absolutely nothing… but with tremendous confidence.

Please enjoy this tiny fuzzy emergency siren pretending this is a hostage negotiation.😹

Meet Gibby Gibby, our newest rescue… and self-appointed full-time screamer.

6 weeks old.
Rescued from under a shed.
Zero inside voice.

He screams when he’s not being held.
He screams when you’re trying to sleep.
He screams when you’re trying to work.
He screams if you stop looking at him for 0.3 seconds.

We’re pretty sure he thinks silence is illegal.

The best part? The SECOND you pick him up… instant purring machine 🥹
So yes, he’s equal parts menace and angel.

Also… can we talk about this wild little face?!
There are absolutely no thoughts behind those eyes—just noise.

What a goofy little guy. 💙

Meet two of our newest rescues 💙

This beautiful Russian Blue mama and her baby have quite the story. They were found at a cemetery in Southfield—hungry, scared, and all alone—by two sisters who were visiting their late mother’s grave. Unable to take them in, they reached out for help, and thankfully these two made their way to Feral Today Friend Tomorrow.

Now safe and warm, they’re clearly relieved to be back inside a home where they belong. It’s evident they were once loved and then abandoned.

There’s an extra layer of meaning to this rescue that we can’t ignore…

The sisters shared that their late mother, whose grave the cats were found at, loved cats her entire life. Her name was Anna.

And who answered the call to save them? None other the super rescuer, Anna Augustyn!

Some things are just simply meant to be.

Everyone, meet Willow (mom) and Wisp 🐾

Fosters Needed. Say Yes. 🐾

Kitten season is here, and we need caring volunteers to help give these tiny lives a chance. You don’t need experience—we’ll train you and provide everything you need to get started.

All it takes is a little time, a safe space, and a big heart. 💛

Another life saved 💔🐾

This beautiful girl was found near Rouge Park in Detroit—just off the side of the road, as if someone opened their car door and pushed her onto the cold asphalt and drove away. Alone, terrified, and unsure of what she did to deserve it.

She was traumatized, scared, and completely confused when we found her.

Thankfully, she was microchipped. We were able to identify her, learn her name, and access her medical history. Her owner was contacted but chose not to claim her.

Because of her microchip, we were able to reconnect her with the original rescue that once cared for her. Tonight, she is safe, warm, and surrounded by people who won’t give up on her.

Please—microchip your pets. It matters more than you think. It gives them a voice when they have none and a path back to safety when they need it most.
