Fallbrook Trails Council Non-Profit Fallbrook Trails Council maintains the trails on the Santa Margarita River Trails Preserve. The group has been in existence sine 1999.

Now owned by The Wildlands Conservancy we work together to offer the public a free place to enjoy hiking, biking and equestrian activities. Fallbrook Trails Council is a non-profit organization to maintain the Santa Margarita River Trails and to expand on Fallbrook's multi-use trails. They helped write San Diego County trails map for Fallbrook, published a field guide, had installed security cameras at the trailhead of the land owned by Fallbrook Public Utility District.

Great news! The trails are open beginning tomorrow (Wednesday) to all. However ALL water crossings will remain closed until the water level drops and water clarity improves so that we can see the bottom.

For the next 2 weeks we will be doing trail maintenance on the Fallbrook side of the river near Willow Glen. Please be respectful of trail closures. There will be bypasses when sections are closed.
