RABC Basketball

RABC Basketball RABC has been around now for over two decades. We are based out of the RI/MA line. RABC is an independent boys and girls AAU/USSA basketball program.

RABC has been around for almost 30 years, started by Ray Cantelmo, Sr. His son, Ray Cantelmo, Jr., took it over 5+years ago and added a girls program. A little over a year ago, we rebranded to RABC + Work Harder Academy to better align with and reflect the skills training focus of its sister business, Work Harder Training, creating a more cohesive and unified brand identity. We are based out of Fa

ll River, MA. All torunaments we play in are in the MA/RI area, with some of our older teams traveling once a season out of state. RABC as boys and girls teams from 3rd grade to the high school levels. RABC has THREE primary goals. RABC's MAIN focus is building a better basketball player. We accomplish this by teaching them the fundamentals of not only the game, but also about teamwork. Each player will learn the basics from seasoned coaches and trainers. We supply each player with written drills that demonstrate how to do them, this way they can practice them even while shooting hoops with friends at the local court. We also offer one on one training in speed, weight lifting and skill training. Questions about one on one training please contact [email protected]. RABC is committed to turning out future college basketball players. If a player has the skill and desire to play at a college level, we will work extremely hard to get that player to realize that dream. Over the last 3 years alone, we have had over 26 players recruited to play college ball. Here at RABC we STRESS academics as a crucial part of training, we make sure that our players know there is no future in basketball if there academics fail. Lastly RABC is proud to say that we have made joining our program a financial possibility. We understand in these tough economic times that people are feeling the crunch of the "extras". Rest assure your child will still get an excellent basketball training experience that is affordable. The home courts of RABC are the Wheeler Field House and Providence Country Day. We compete in tournament play locally in New England. Keep checking back to this site for upcoming information about RABC including practice and game schedules! Thank you for taking the time to visit our site, if you have any questions or comments about the program or would like more information on enrollment please feel free to contact me. Sincerely,
Ray Cantelmo - RABC Director

More Spring Success!
Let’s give it up for our 8th grade Black team and Varsity boys who both went 3-0 at our RABC Spring Shootout, taking home the championship in front of our home crowd! 🔥

While teams traveled to Maine this past weekend — including our 6th and 7th grade girls, 4th and 8th grade boys — our 9th and 10th grade boys stayed local and won it all at Young Athletics!

And a special shoutout to our youngest squad — the 3rd grade boys — for winning the ZG Tournament and earning their first championship of their AAU career! 🎉🏆

As the season starts to wind down, we’re incredibly proud of everything our teams have accomplished. We can’t wait to see the work all of our players put in this summer and who comes back even stronger this fall! 💯

4th Grade Boys Making Moves!
Our 4th grade boys teams have been grinding in their 2nd year and 3rd session together — and it’s paying off! Under the leadership of Coach Dan, this group continues to grow, learn, and WIN.

While our 8th grade girls were in Orlando, 4th Grade Black took home the ZG Championship. The following weekend at our RABC Spring Shootout, both Red and Black teams went 2-0 on Saturday, setting up an epic Sunday showdown — and 4th grade Black pulled off the W in a close battle!

They weren’t done yet… This past weekend they traveled up to Maine and secured another title at the Ballin’ on the Beach Tournament!

👏🏽 Congratulations to all the players and Coach Dan on this incredible run. Keep building! 💪🏽

8th Grade Girls Take Orlando!
HUGE congratulations to our 8th grade girls team on an unforgettable trip to ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando! These girls battled through a 20-team field made up of teams from multiple states and came out AAU Memorial Classic CHAMPIONS! 🏆🌴

They finished the season 22-7, with 4 championships across 7 tournaments — all while repping our program with class, heart, and grit.

This squad has been together since 5th grade, and over the past 3 seasons they’ve racked up a 63-20 record. The bond, the growth, and the determination is unmatched.

We are SO proud of this team and can’t wait to see what’s next for these girls! ❤️🖤

Let’s start our recap back on Mother’s Day weekend with a huge shoutout to our 9th and 10th grade boys for bringing home the championship at the RI Knights Tournament! Shoutout to Coach Mason and Coach Ray for leading the way! 🙌🏽

THREE-PEAT CHAMPIONS! 🏀🏆
Huge congratulations to our unstoppable 8th Grade Girls team for taking home their third straight title in the New England AAU MA/RI State Championship Tournament—battling it out and coming out on top in the competitive 8th/9th grade division this past weekend!

These girls EARNED it. Their heart and hustle were on full display every minute of the tournament. This isn’t luck—this is the result of relentless hard work. Most of these multi-sport athletes are grinding with Coach Ray 3-4 days a week on top of regular team practices—putting in extra 1-on-1 sessions, group workouts, and conditioning like true champions.

Thanks to all that effort, the girls have steadily climbed the ranks and currently sit at #1 in the D2 Zero Gravity Regional Rankings—a reflection of their commitment and teamwork week in and week out.

We are beyond proud. Keep working girls!

What a weekend! Rumble for the Ring CHAMPIONS đź’Ťđź’Ť
Our 8th Grade Girls dominated the weekend, going a perfect 4-0 and taking home the championship! Their energy, grit, and teamwork were unmatched — they EARNED that ring!

Shout out to our newest and youngest team, the 3rd Grade Boys, and our 7th Grade Boys for competing in their very first tournament — the future is bright!

Big applause as well to our 6th Grade Girls and Varsity Boys, who battled hard against tough competition and continue to show amazing growth. Proud of all our teams!🏀
