Today is National Feral Cat Day, a day to recognize the community cats living in our neighborhoods and the people who look out for them.

Since launching our TNR program this year, we’ve provided spay/neuter and vaccines for 80 community cats in Summit County. Fewer kittens born outside, healthier colonies, and calmer neighborhoods.

A $5 raffle ticket could win you treats from Peanut Shoppe of Akron, a $25 Peanut Shoppe gift certificate, and two $25 gift certificates to Diamond Deli.

We’d immediately order a “Mom, Come Get Me – I’m Sick” and many carrot cakes from Diamond Deli, then walk off some of the calories heading down to The Peanut Shoppe for chocolate-covered almonds.

Every ticket helps Rescue330 climb the leaderboard in the EmbraceCLE Challenge.

“Oh, I could never foster. I’d keep them all.” Meghan hears it frequently, and she gets it. She has kept one (hi, little poodle). But she and Scott have also sent Teddy and many more dogs off to their forever homes.

Fostering with Rescue330 means you get time to know the dog and a say in where they land. Apply at rescue330.org/foster.

Adoptable puppy Buzz has been keeping a close eye on the weather and has big plans for tomorrow. Sniff every leaf in the yard, supervise the squirrels, and take a chew toy out for a sunny afternoon.

Buzz is a beagle/hound mix, about 5 months old, and a growing boy.

✔ 22 lbs (and counting)
✔ Sweet, playful, loves being outside
✔ Good with other dogs
✔ Making great progress on housebreaking and crate training

He’d like to find a family before the cold sets in, ideally one with a yard and a good sunny spot. Apply to meet Buzz at rescue330.org.

P.S. Buzz wants you to check out our raffle! More in the comments.
