A great article about the incredible Elaine Marsh, who we had the pleasure of learning from at our Annual Membership meeting last night. Thank you for all you do, Elaine!

Elaine Marsh co-founded Friends of the Crooked River in 1990 and helped pave the way for a cleaner Cuyahoga.

Today a few members of Friends of Summit Metro Parks got a very special behind the scenes tour of Akron’s North Side Interceptor Tunnel (NSIT) project and got a look at the processing and placement of the dredge material from the Gorge Dam Pool.

The scale of these projects are hard to describe - we are grateful that we had the opportunity to see these projects up close!

It’s a beautiful day to experience the maple sugaring process that turns maple sap into delicious maple syrup.
